A nice reminder that however glum things may look for Saints at the moment, at least we're not THAT desperate.

I'd pass on Senderos aswell, not good enough for Swindon... :)

Shocking signings... Cole needs to retire or drop down a league, as for Senderos? Pfft. Of course it is a long summer and Villa may yet sign some better players but as it stands I would tip them to go down next season.

So, one player who will be a big drain on your wages, without doing anything positive/productive. And another who was poor for both Arsenal and Fulham? I can only assume the OP thinks these are good signings because he's heard of these ' names ' ??

Hangeland is available as a free agent after having his contract terminated, he would have been a much better signing than Senderous.

Matt Etherington on a free would have been a better signing than Joe Cole and his big wages.

I get that Villa have a young team and need experienced players, but are they really THAT desperate?

Don't fret, I'm still here. Ok so I misread the point of this Forum. I thought a bit of good natured banter as well as some decent debate was what it was all about.

There's no debate about it, The players your team have signed are obviously shit. You'd have to be an idiot to call them "excellent" signings.

Joe Cole is prone to injury. He's also well past his sell by date.

Why do people have to resort to abuse on these forums? So much for decent banter.

Yes you get it on most forums mate. If they been here a while they act the big I am. When in fact they probably still live with their mum in room they grew up in

Never compare your saxophone skills to Gonzo's, it's just not something you do
