Our players may well be on holiday already but I'm looking forward to a day in the capital on the beers, nice and early train. No idea what sort of side we will field or who will turn up sober but my last NL away day for a while I hope.
The big end of season jolly boys outing weekender in Hartlepool, what could possibly go wrong. Could care less about the football. Any Monkey Hangers on here have any recommendations for bars, restaurants suitable for a group of 10.
Must win game for us,sold out home tickets and looks like we are getting away end allocation behind goal because Woking struggling to sell smaller allocation. PS stay at home Woking you have enough points to stay up.
Same here. 1030ish train from Donny then a nice easy rock up to Ruislip via some hostelries. Never had the pleasure of a visit to Grosvenor Vale before, always been thwarted by hols, work or postponements previously so looking forward to it. Still need to attempt to get a ton of points for the season, and to play fair to the rest of the division, so I'm hoping we take this one seriously.
Marina would be your best bet, about a 10 minute walk from the away end, plenty of both down there, be cold like so bring your big coat.
Looking forward to seeing what state this Wealdstone pitch is going to be in on Saturday as I’ve only just noticed they’ve got another home game tomorrow as well as the one they played yesterday!! As for us, hoping this extended break for us since the Easter weekend & promotion has been a good thing to flush the alcohol (& there was a lot of it…) out the players system to try and finish this season the way champions should with a couple of dominant victories. There’s still a few of them playing for contracts so you’d think there’s still going to be a level of motivation there to perform, but we will see.
I wonder given how many Oldham are likely to take, and how important the game could be, if they'll make a big effort to play that at their ground next Thursday?
Literally embarrassing. 45 minutes away for 2 'home games' This has to be the final straw for change.
Any estimates on the amount you’ll have there? We’ll only have about 60 I reckon. A few messed up with trains but at least we know the game should be on…
No idea. Its only Wednesday. People are angry right now but once that settles down people may come round to the idea. We'll have more there on Saturday than we will on bloody Tuesday night though. If we get promoted from here it will be up there with our all away trophy run last season.
People don't seem angry on Halifax forum. Seems to have stirred some solidarity if anything. Can see a crowd of 800-1000 venturing over. It's an east train ride away and not that exspensive either.
It’s 45 mins hardly the other side of the country. It’s the Ebbsfleet fans having to travel even further for a rearranged game on a Tue night,I feel sorry for ?
The grass itself is completely fine, it's when there's been loads of rain and the lack of soil filtration where it's become a problem. Weather has been largely fine and is warm for the rest of the week, so yeah, you'll notice a bit of sand on the pitch, but I've seen more elsewhere this season (Alty). Will worry about Saturday after tonight.
