Not confirmed yet but looking like going to Koh Samui in July 2023 with friends. They have been a few times so we will follow the crowd on this one. Hoping we can get a Aussie City break before that though - possibly Melbourne
If you need any tips on Samui just give me a shout mate, I lived there for a year and a half from 2011. I may know a bit about Melbourne as well but don't bank on it..
We leave this morning, jumping on the Indian Pacific train from Perth to Sydney. Can’t wait. We had a day in Rotto yesterday, it’s my second visit but this time we did the bus tour round the island which is highly recommended.
Booked up Lanzarotte for the end of March. First holiday as a 4; will have a 3 year old and a 3 month old, so it'll be an experience. 4* all inclusive, so the hotel is pretty good. And if it get's stressful I can just get pissed for free.
Best of luck! A little whiskey on the gums before a flight never hurt anybody (not medical/parenting advice).
Not really a holiday as such but I'm flying back to Washington (state) on Saturday. Only there for a few days as wife finally moves to England on Tuesday (land here Wednesday). Short and sweet trip but I get a solo night in Seattle first so off to watch Seattle Kraken on Saturday
Seattle is a mint city. My wife is from there (moved to England 11 years ago), and we go every other year to visit her family. Funny you should mention 'Seattle Kraken' as that's my secret name for my mother-in law.
Yeah, I really like Seattle and the rest of Washington is lovely too. Wife lives here now but we'll try and get back fairly regularly I think so she can see her family.
Whereabouts in Malaysia are you going ? KL is my favourite city in the world and also loved my visits to Singapore Found Indonesia (Bali) overrated
Went to Queensland last week. Four nights in Brisbane, which was great, and four nights in Noosa, which was a bit too touristy for me but was still lovely as we rented a two bed apartment right on the river so we could sit on the balcony and watch the boats go by, which was even better with a sundowner in your hand. Off to Tasmania in two weeks, trying to see as much of the rather large continent as we can before our visas run out..
Malacca mainly, might go back up to Cameron Highlands for a day too. This will be my 7th time in Singapore, so looking forward to getting back and eating my weight in food.
Have also since booked a trip to Helsinki in May. Always wanted to see Finland so buzzing for that too.
Scandinavia was always on my bucket list when i Lived in the UK but never got round to it. Always fancied either or all of the big three, Finland has probably got the most contrasting landscapes and lifestyles with borders with Russia and Sweden..
Just wondering why so many go to Australia, what exactly is the attraction, just seems like a nightmare journey to sit on a beach?
Enjoy. I had a great time in Helsinki a few years back, really want to try and get back to Finland this year if possible.
