I was tempted with Turkey, too, but my other half isn't keen on the country. I was a little bit suspicious at the low numbers, and rightly so
Obviously glad I didn't book now and think I will just have to sack this year off as far as holidays are concerned.

Gibraltar is lovely, if you haven't been. Yes, avoid Spain ..! Although that is the first place I will head to when this sh*t it over

First time to Gibraltar so looking forward to visiting somewhere new.

Only started work in May and haven't been able to do anything so got a bunch of annual leave to use before the end of the year.. Not sure if i'll squeeze another trip in but I've got a week off in November and a few days off in December too.

Would have to look into those stats, but yeah travelling in flight isn't particularly dangerous iirc. The air is cleaner than you'd get on a train or a bus. And social distancing is achievable if managed correctly.

I've flown a bunch this year, and seeing if I could possibly for a trip to Berlin in before the year is out.

I think travel should be allowed to continue and social distancing is achievable in any language, surely.

I’ve had enough and decided to book some flights to portugal. Was overjoyed to find that Wizz Air were having a 24 hour sale from Doncaster airport and I’ve bagged flights for £8.99 each way

Going to get some tickets for the F1 in Portimão too

Where are you going and do you have to quarantine on return? I am in dire need of some time off too, although most people I know do not have any sympathy. I shouldn't be going anywhere in these times

That is a bargain. I was looking at Alicante and Ryanair had flights £26 return. I cannot quarantine on return, or I would be there now.

Yeah it’s an absolute bargain! Co-own a house out there where I grew up in Lagos too so it’s a very cheap trip. I’ll be able to work remotely for the last 2 weeks too

Probably not now. Have Tenerife booked for February (booked in March). Not even sure that will go ahead. I am gutted as we have also booked unlimited tickets to Siam Park. That isn't open at the moment either.

By the time February comes, I will be going stir crazy, so will probably book with Ryanair or similar if Jet2 cancel. Jet2 are not flying anywhere you need to quarantine on return.

Had an email yesterday cancelling my flight at the end of this month, to Belfast. Was supposed to be going for a long weekend with a group of mates. Need to reschedule it for next year now.

Absolute bargain mate! We've gone pretty big on this holiday as we've been given a shedload of credits against prior holidays that have been cancelled and used up shit load of my points from business travel , will be staying in one of these in the Maldives :).

Main draw for us (bar the obvious natural beauty) was the fact we just need a negative test 3 days before flying, rather than any heavy quarantining whilst over there.

Will need to quarantine on return but to be honest it doesn't make much of a difference to me, I work from home anyway and aside from seeing my now 2 month old Nephew and the family I've been pretty relaxed about staying in .

I think it's really important to take some time to yourself, ideally in another country but if not in the UK. I think everyone is getting seriously fatigued mentally/physically with the state of things at the moment. We went down to near your way (Salthouse) 6 weeks ago for a weekend to see a woman about a dog, which we are getting in March which is super exciting!

The Maldives looks dreadful...joking of course ;) That is absolutely beautiful and my idea of paradise. I cannot think of anywhere I would rather be. Lucky you, enjoy every second.

Ah ok. Been to Salhouse a few times. A new dog sounds very exciting. Which breed have you gone for? My daughter has paid a deposit on a Sprocker Spaniel, the mummy dog isn't even pregnant yet  All being well a litter should be here by July next year and she has the pick of the litter. Obviously if things don't happen, she will get her money refunded.

Yeah we are really lucky, everywhere was already 50-60% off based off equivalent prices last year and then having the points etc made it a no brainer. No chance we will ever go back so exciting to be going .

So we’ve gone for a Eurasier, they are companion dogs so fine in our city flat which is fortunate! Yeah we are just buying into a future litter, probably the same approach.

Aeroplanes use Hepa filter systems in thier air cons it’s the cleanest air going.

wouldn’t really bother me going on holiday. I have no underlying health conditions so have very little to worry about.
