When Undertaker went from being the American badass, to the deadman again, he wouldn't go back to the original Taker as seen in the picture before he left. He has just basically adding to his character, like putting something new type of thing in, if you know what i mean. It's the same for Kane, he was dominant scary looking when he had the full attire on that only left his left arm exposed, but he'll never go back to that.

I have one concern. After finally getting around to watching RAW this week, I fear they're going to somehow go with putting Kozlov in the Undertaker match

Good night again though, hell I'm even gonna watch ECW soon just to see what went down in case it was good :eeek The road to wrestlemania is truly in full swing

I can see there being a triple threat match between Kozlov, HBK and Undertaker. HBK will win, but pin Kozlov so Undertaker can still have a unpinned record at Wrestlemania.
Also, CM Punk in a MITB match again? I hope someone that's not expected wins this one.

    Would make sense.

    Undeafeated streak vs Wrestlemania streak.

Give Koslov a few squashes in between now and WM and they could make him look a threat.

At the same time Micheals could end the Koslov streak and use that as his rub to look like a threat.

    RAW tonight :D:D:D

Not seen Smackdown yet, should get round it at some point. Here's hoping tonight is as good as the last 2 weeks though, and Jericho to get his opponent made clear tonight I hope.

And of course, the more Orton, the better!!!

I agree with the more Orton the better, he seems to be the main wrestler in the WWE at the moment and he is partly carrying Raw as without him I wouldn't watch it. I don't know how Raw managed without him for part of last year.

I'm a bit deflated with RAW tonight, and seeing as I can't sleep I'm going to create a little article and a run down of the show and my feelings. Feel free to read/ignore me, I don't mind  But hopefully some points I make will fuel some discussion for the coming week...

The opening of the show had Jerry "The King" Lawler telling us that John Cena will tonight get his rematch with Edge for the World Heavyweight Title. Still on the euphoria of the title sequence this excites me, a good night in the making surely?

Well, the actual opening segment saw Chris Jericho ressurecting Piper's Pit with Jimmy Snukka. Now in my opinion, tonight was when Jericho should have been given his opponent for Mania, alas, he did not, this was dull; it's getting repetitive now, please let us know his opponent. I think this Jericho persona is criminally overrated, he just says the same things over and over again. Not even in a catchphrase kind of way, its just as if no-one is writing him a new script, it's uninspiring and uncreative and most of what he says doesn't even relate to the legend he's in the segment with, it could be applied to anyone. Shame really, if they don't give us something new next week I think I'll lose all interest in it. The novelty of seeing HoF-ers has gone. I appreciate how they're trying to create this story, but can't help but feel it could be more fun. I mean seriously, next week I think I'm going to play Jericho Bingo, for I know exactly the words he will say, full house guaranteed.

Next (I think) was the Triple Threat match for Money in the Bank qualification between Kane, Knox, and Mysterio. It was ok - didnt see it properly cz my stream kept crapping out, though I'm glad kane won, nice little unexpected result there, and I hope this is the beginning of one last main event run before the man retires (it's surely not that far into the future). Kane to win at Mania please, and have a major monster heel turn before getting at least close to the title. He deserves it.

Divas Match - No santino input, annoying commentary, but I guess it set up some kinda brawl for Mania, not that I care. No Santino = fail :p

HHH and Orton segment came next and it was fantastically intense, but its now set up a no contact fued which could take the momentum out of it, they need to build this up very carefully now or it's gonna get dull. Still looking forward to it immensely though, and I love both guys so don't even care who comes out on top :) Great performances from both, as I say, I just worry about the no contact ruling taking the air out of it a bit by the time 5 weeks time gets here.

HBK vs. Kozlov - A dull match really, and I couldn't enjoy the anticipation of the outcome because I just wanted Michaels to win due to the fear of Kozlov at 'Mania. Thankfully, my fears were not realised, and now surely we've got Taker vs HBK :D:D:D:D Oh and one more thing about this - Kozlov, please f*ck off  Now then, when Undertaker came out I squeeled like a little kid, this is another fued that has the potential to be awesome. It doesn't even need much building, just let both guys do their thing and it will probably steal the imagination for the next few weeks.

Edge vs, Cena - had a lot of interest in this once it was announced, a title match that had to end someway, and whatever the result would have major Mania implications. The crowd were dead all night, but I remembered this was in New York, one of the "smarter" crowds, and they hate Johnny Boy, so the reaction was interesting. To be honest the boos are unjust as of late, he's been very good in his segments, and was even genuinly funny last week. Shame then that the match ended the way it did, a shitty little dq which just made the whole thing feel anti-climactic. Still as I said, it was always going to have Mania implications, and it did - with Vikki telling us Big Show is now the Number 1 contender for the match at Wrestlemania  Hope Cena gets in there somehow to make it a triple threat, though I don't care too much who wins because I don't see Edge retaining, and he's the only one I care for.

All in all a very anti-climactic RAW. Jericho confounded the staleness of his angle. Edge and Cena ended way too early for my liking, and now a huge chunk of drama has been taken out of HHH/Orton with the no contact stipulation. The only plus was HBK/Taker finally being confirmed. Felt like one step forward, three steps back tonight, feel free to disagree, but I was disappointed :(

Just because of what you wrote.

I'm going to take those 2 hours from the show and watch my IC dvd set

I'm excited by Wrestlemania but it's hard to when it's just promos and stare off/p1ssing about.

That being said No Way Out to Mania being 6 weeks was a bit of a joke. In that time we're just going to see crappy matches to keep us guessing and IMO that's been going on for long enough.

I'm joking btw, I'll watch it and let you know what I think on msn. I guess I should look up the Smackdown results to :hmmm

I know what you mean to be honest - back in the late 90s/early 2000s, such a gap wouldn't have mattered too much because you know they would come up with something new each week to keep you hooked. But I sort of felt it last week and I definitely felt it this week that they've peaked too early in this Road to Wrestlemania, and now the build up until the final week is at a real risk of tailing off.

I'll be interested to see what you think though, there were some things to like so you may enjoy it, I guess I myself just wanted more.

I watched RAW not live of course too many damn advert.

Thought it was going rather well till the end, which was stupid.

I personally liked the Jericho segment, its good that it annoyed you because thats what its supposed to do. If he keeps doing it the crowd will keep getting on his back and cheer louder when some legend finally comes out and smacks him one. I just hope its a proper decent legend that the crowd will pop for. I'm sure someone said in this thread they might have him facing Cena which would be stupidly shit. Cena isnt a legend...

Big Show Vs Edge - why? should have used Cena Vs Edge and whacked in a bad ass stipulation or something.

HHH/Orton was pretty predictable and its just going to end with HHH getting the title again and being a 14 time champion, boring....

They are trying to get Hulk Hogan to go against Cena at WM

Money in the Bank isn't looking too good at the moment, they should be using it for the high fliers IMO, not people like Kane.

Cena Vs Hogan would cause wrestling to implode.

Cena going over Hogan would make me cry

Its kind of all coming together. 3 right so far and potentially 5 although Hardy vs Hardy not signed yet. and Christian Swagger still looking strong.

What the hell are they playing at with money in the bank?? Henry, Kane?? Ye i can really see high spots off a ladder with those two.

If this sets up a Miz Morrison vs Colons tag unification then im all for it but its just looking too obvious the Punk is going to win MITB.

I think MVP or Shelton Benjamin will win it, although I still hope that Morrison will enter and win.

    - I read on the internet where Hulk Hogan is dropping hints that he "could" face Chris Jericho at WM25. Hey, that would be fine with me and I'm sure that match "could" be a possibility but for some reason I just don't see it happening. Obviously, Jericho is treading in Legend's territory and his WM25 match will like follow that theme especially this late in the game but I have yet to hear one conclusive name that will wrestle Jericho in Houston. I do know or strongly suspect it will NOT be Ric Flair. One has to surmise after what Jerry Lawler said about Jericho on Raw Monday night that a Lawler-Jericho confrontation is a distinct possibility at some point but that doesn't necessarily mean it will be at WM25. Chris Jericho and this entire Legend's issue has been one of the highlights of Monday Night Raw for this viewer for the past several weeks. Bottom line here is that Hulk is a great promoter and does as good a job as anyone in keeping his name out there to the wrestling public which is better than living and dying on TMZ.

    Taken from JRs blog.

Im thining that means its going to be The King vs Jericho at WM :(
