I'd like to hope what with Austin being inducted into the hall of fame maybe he'll 'face' Jeircho at WrestleMania.

By face I mean talk to what? stunner him, drink beer, stunner him again and drink some more beer etc etc

....I'd mark out like a little kid for Hogan though. As long as they dont have him job to ****ing Cena.

the best Legend for Jericho to face would probably be The Rock as he's still in 30s, still in shape and can still go some in the ring I expect. Zero chance though

No they actually do hit eachother. How can you pretend to suplex someone?? How can you pretend to pick someone up and powerbomb them??

    Its scripted NOT fake.

....and they never have any facial marks or bruising despite being punched in the face numerous times bare knuckle.

Bruce Willis never actually killed anyone before, the Die Hards were scripted and fake...
Jack never actually climbed the beanstalk to find a giant - it was an illusion created in the Theatre...
Harry Potter never actually cast a spell on anyone, it's just words formed in JK Rowlings head to create a fantasy story...

The whole "zomg wrestling is fake" thing got boring about.... actually no it's always being boring. Wrestling fans don't have a problem with it being fake, oddly it's just the people who can't bring themselves to watch it that do. Anyone with half a brain cell knows that whilst the concept of the fighting itself is fake, the potential damage it can cause blatantly isn't.

So kindly go do one and let the wrestling fans enjoy their wrestling, and you go enjoy whatever entertainment it is you enjoy, though if you don't like things that are fake you must be a bit hard pressed for fun...

Yay people that believe it isn't a sport.

Really I fail to see how you morons put so much time in just to say something most people here think is wrong.

Suprisingly it's acted like Eastenders, Italian football and many many other programmes and plays/films so as long as WE (the people talking about wrestling) enjoy it why would it matter to you? :confused

I'm sure you're all quite happy to watch football go down the toilet so if you'd like the conversation on that by all means I'll embrace you all with it.

    If not, fu*k off.

If you really do think its all fake then I suggest you read Mick Foleys second autobiography 'Foley is Good'

It will make you look at things different and you will realise 'real life is infact faker than professional wrestling'

Mines on Lynda. :P, would be funnier. Or, could be Vince, and then Randy Orton to become Champion with Rhoads and Debiase being Tag Team Champions. :)

If you all think theres not contact then go speak to Kurt Angle.

Alot of the wrestlers work stiff which means they make contact on everything. The stamping is exactly so the crowd can hear it people react to noises. Since when did a punch sound like a foot on wood??

Was it real when Owen Hart broke Steve Austins neck???
Was it real when Sid Vicious broke his leg jumping off the turnbuckle??

How do you fake falling off a ladder??
How do you fake going through a table??

Yes this is entertainment but the hazards are real.
Please dont try this at home. (sorry got carried away)

You say they have no facial marks well im sorry but look closer. Make up only covers up so much.

Also i never said its real. I said its scripted. Like a film is scripted. You know the Rovers Return doesnt serve real alcohol dont you???

The punches and the kicks are clearly fake, if it was real punches and kicks then none of the wrestlers would have any teeth left.

The matches have always been scripted, you can clearly see that when the referee gives the wrestlers instructions for the moves.

The blood and the wounds is real, many people thought they just put paint on it but what really happens is they get given a small blade, once they get a chair shot a hit by a sledgehammer or whatever they hide their face so that they can make the wound and cut to their head.

This thing about Kane being the Undertaker's brother and also the whole Kane being burned in a fire thing is just storylines, they are not real.

Even though it is not real fighting people do get bad injurys. Like BG said, Owen Hart's powerful piledriver left Austin with a broken neck. Also Kurt Angle needed neck surgery thanks to it. (Although the injury he picked actually came from the Olympic's)

My mate gose to a wrestling academy, and he's thought he loads of stuff about it. The punches arn't real punches, they do get hit, but not with a proper fist. If you make a fist with your right hand , and turn it so the thumb is towards your face, you hit them with the knuckels on the left side. He always comes into school saying he's in pain from being thrown around, and it does hurt. It's scripted, they know what's going to happen, but it still does hurt (they just make it look like it hursts worst than it does, it's called playing up to the crowd) and sometimes these moves do get buggerd up, so the wrestlers do get seriously hurt.

My responses were to the above statement. They do not hit each other.

There obviously is contact and injuries, but when they "punch" each other in the face there is absolutely no contact. You can't cover a black eye and swellings with make up.

If you think they do, then you have clearly never been punched in the face.

I don't have a problem with people enjoying wrestling, I did when I was a kid, but don't make stupid statements like "They actually hit each other".

    You clearly just contridicted yourself.

There is contact and if you honestly think there isnt go to a wrestling school for 1 day and find out for yourself.

Theres a big difference between no contact and controlled contact. Its all about posistionng. They use an open fist to eliminate alot of the force but theres still contract from fist to face etc...

Well if you actually watch wrestling you'd know that with a 'punch' a wrestler will do 2 things. Either open his hand so there less force. The hand goes across the face rather than into the face as it connects (Austin does this) Turn the hand sidewards before contact so face connects with the fingernail/palm (the rock does this). Then you add that to the opponent selling the move. As the hand conects you move backwards to sell it. Theres always contact.
