Vintage Trouble were amazing. The Corner hotel is one of the best venues for live music because it's so small and intimate and the acoustics are great. Ty Taylor's voice is as good live as it is on record and his energy was contagious with nigh on everyone dancing to the music. He came right by us twice during the gig, once to jump off the sound engineer's desk to go crowd surfing and then again to just sing in amongst us.
Highly recommended if their playing in your town.

Love Wolf Alice, one of my fave bands up there with Biffy Clyro, Arcade Fire and Foo Fighters.

Seen all of them live, but Foo Fighters have to be the best of the bunch.

Saw them at the O2, Barrowlands, Brixton and at a club in Tallinn, my now husband and I's first trip together in late 2013. Last time was the O2 a few years after Tallinn.

The new album which doubles up as a movie soundtrack, really is something else.

Gomez are playing Melbourne in November, playing the album, Liquid Skin in its entirety to celebrate its 20th year of riding the air waves. Seen them a couple of time before, as well as Ben Otterwell doing a solo set so it’d be rude not to go..

Their debut album, Bring It On, was excellent. I still play Get Miles on a regular basis. Great track

One of a very few times I agreed with the Mercury Music Prize judges!

"See the World", what album was that on?. They long dropped off the mainstream radar by then.

I've seen them at Leeds Fest twice, Download and the MEN. I've only listened to the new album once, been listening to Slam Dunk bands which is this weekend getting hyped. I'm gutted to **** that they're playing on the Friday this Download festival that I'm at.

How We Operate. I never bought it as I’d moved on from them by then. I always got the impression that there were too many create members in the band and too many of them meddled with the songs, so instead of a nice tune we got four minutes of mish mash..

U2 are playing The Joshua Tree tour here in Melbourne in November. That's the good news, the bad news is that it's just under $200 to sit in the nose bleeds and nigh on $800 if you want to sit somewhere close enough to the stage where you might just recognise some members of the band.

    I'm not going..

I caved in this morning and paid the inflated price of $140 (about £70) to see U2 perform The Joshua tree in Melbourne. I knew if I didn’t cough up I’d regret not going so **** it.

ive also booked tickets to see Fontaine’s DC. That knocked me back £20. Hashtagrealisticpricing

Just been to see Vampire Weekend at the Alexandra Palace. Fantastic gig by fantastic musicians, not a bum note all night. They take requests from the audience during the encore which is pretty cool.

Always wanted to see them perform live, they announced a tour over here and the tickets went faster than you could say Skippy.

I’ve been re-listening all morning, they’re so much better live. Definitely go if you get the chance.

U2 were immense on Friday night. Rooms y highlights during the whole evening but it was clever of the band to use just part of the stage to open and play some of their early stuff before nonchalantly making their way to the main area for the opening bars of where the streets have no name.

and it was pretty cool getting there in time to watch most of Noels supporting set. Nice to finally sing Don’t Look Back In Anger in a crowd. Lovely stuff

and talking of Gallagher’s, I’ve just bought tickets for Liams visit next month. My lad reckons he’s got his voice back so looking forward to that..
