There'll obviously be a few shocks tonight and tomorrow where the bigger teams won't care and the smaller clubs will put out a strong side, so I'm fully expecting Cardiff to beat us. Be interesting to see if Ange will put out a strong eleven against Fulham or whether he'll concentrate on winning the league..
He is becoming rather a nuisance. If he's not shit, he's injured. If he's not injured, he's shit. Petrovic Gusto Disasi Colwill Cucurella Ugochukwu Caicedo Madueke Gallagher Maatsen Burstow
Probably just the league. Good opportunity for some of the players who haven't had much game-time to break in to the title winning 11 though. Just for a giggle as much as anything, Kane can't win a trophy with Bayern until May so it'd be kind of amusing to see us win this before he lifts silverware in Germany.
We have gone a bit stronger than I thought I would. Although if Millwall fans are right about the keeper we'll lose anyway. Long Fisher - Duffy - Omobamidele - McCallum Springett - Gibbs - Sara - Placheta Nunez Idah
Opposite for us . Fergie has dropped the whole starting X1 from Saturday & we have five 16 year olds of the 9 on the bench tonight & starting X1 average 21.5 years old albeit Pompey also have a young starting X1 but a lot stronger bench with both teams resting players before we meet again Saturday in the League .
Congrats Plymouth. That's a pretty poor lineup from us which sums up Roy's general distain for cup competitions. Big chance for Argyle to progress.
When we were in the Premier League it always frustrated me when we fielded shit sides in the cups. Finishing mid table every year is obviously great for the bank balance but for clubs like ours you're only a couple of mistakes away from The Championship and you have to make the most of your time as a competitive Premier League club and try to pick up a trophy. Before you know it you appoint the wrong manager/take too long to sack your old one and sign some flops and you're back in The Championship a million miles away from being able to compete for trophies. With nothing to show for your Premier League years apart from the odd good win here and there.
Yeah. Thankfully we've had an FA Cup final and semi-final since promotion (as did you I think?) but under Roy it's a complete non-event. We're already one down, lol.
Not sure why we're playing players with one foot out of the door. Sounds like Sanchez had a 'mare for Fulham's goal, albeit our other CB credited with the own goal.
@SamB_SCFC @Delilah Looks like you are chalk and cheese for you this season in terms of home and away from .
Well what a turn around at Home Park ! Palace bringing the big boys on and get 3 in no time . Few goals around .
Spurs score whilst Fulham had a player off the pitch getting a new boot ! Sure Marco Sillva will have something to say about that .
We've certainly started well at home in a complete reversal of last season where we were dreadful at home but playoff form away. But obviously 2 of those home wins have been against Rotherham who look pretty shit. Wish we could play them every week . And we've also played Watford who are a bit crap too . Time will tell whether we've turned the corner at home. I don't take too much notice of these early cup round results because there are so many changes to the teams. Preston at home this weekend will be a strong test of where we are.
