I hope he didn't but it looks like he did to me, albeit very quickly and blocked from view by his own torso.
Well, what an unbelievably satisfying achievement this is! The trust in those young lads, who were not just young but had so little senior football behind them, led by some smart & exceptional senior footballers, was such a proud thing to see as a supporter. I thought a very enjoyable game too, but hey I'm hardly unbiased. Fans were brilliant again. Kelleher was magnificent, really want to emphasise that. The captain, Mac Allister & Endo particularly were too, when you need senior players to show up ours did in abundance. I think the Chelsea fans on here may agree, there is some real ability they've bought in amongst the numbers, but the lack of leadership & experience in the squad building their new owners have blitzed through has been evident. That's the obvious comparison in what's lacking between the two squads. Btw for our fans more generally, if there's ever a lesson in trusting & giving patience to a successful group it's the brilliant Japanese captain. I'm so sorry for your loss, my thoughts are with you.
Absolutely, a few weeks back I was having a mildly heated discussion with my son and son in law, both matchgoers and neither rate Nunez or Endo much. I couldnt understand the gripe they have (or had as its swung a bit now) over Endo in particular, I think its more a "having a go at the owners for buying the cheap alternative" thing...but I personally think he's a fantasic little player, absolute bargain and now become pretty much undroppable. He's our new Lucas/Gini clone, tidies everything up, covers the CBs when they come forward and isnt shy in coming forward himself, protects the ball well and also a real good passer of the ball. Yeah he deffo shook his hands, rather sharpishly.
