Big derby for them then. Imagine the scenes if they knocked them out A few changes you'd understand but nearly a whole team , and it's one of the trophies they could have fought for. It's not a big competition in some managers eyes, but it's silverware at the end of the day.
Success breeds success, a league cup can just be the start. First trophy for Jose, Pep and many more.
You're talking about clubs / owners that give a toss about success. 15 years and counting without a trophy. Last two managers have lost the fans because of cup results but the ownership don't seem to really understand how important the cups are at Spurs. I'm quite annoyed tbh but take some consolation in having walked away already. Feel sorry for the 6,000 mugs at Craven Cottage last night who continue supporting this shambles. Edit* Just to add, the cup exits manage to piss me off every season. Torn between the relief of the disappointment being early and the absolute frustration at it being so early. In terms of winning a trophy our season now rests solely on the FA Cup and we probably won't win that either.
Disappointing but the double is still on. No Tanganga or Dier surely means both are out the door with Lloris. Sanchez is probably staying unless we get cover in this week although after that match you think he's trying to force his exit too.
If a professional athlete cannot cope with two games in a week and we are still in August then they are in the wrong job. They can concentrate on winning the we came 6th cup.
Going out early will probably mean any bad run in the league and "Ange" will be under pressure as we know how fans and boards can turn very quickly.
Thought Fulham played well rather than Tottenham poorly. Silva made 5 changes from the Arsenal game & brought on two players from our u-21 squad as subs and still we seemed to have good coordination. I was worried when it went to pens. Makes a change for us to score all the penalties.
I was sure the one thing AP would do would go full out for both cups this season. Genuinely shocked when I saw all the changes.
Cooper going very strong for us v Burnley, hopefully it will enough against whatever they put out. COYR!
Both fielding much changed teams, but a good away win over in form Birmingham. Squad players giving Bulut something to think about. And 71% possession is unheard of in recent seasons.
Everton not even playing that weak a team given the circumstances. Dyche's job in serious danger if they lose this one. A lot of worms on the plate for breakfast tomorrow.
Can’t win a game in league two but beat Hull and now beating Everton Dyche has always had a pretty dreadful cup record hasn’t he ?
Can guarantee if Everton lose Dyche will come out with the old chestnut "we can concentrate on the league now".
