My favourite album of any genre. Gza’s verses and wordplay are second to none when he’s on form. Rzas beats dark and moody beats set the scene with the genius painting a picture of the hardships of the ghetto and destroying mc’s with his lyrical sword. 25 years old and still an absolute hip hop classic. This is the only solo wu project where every member of the clan appears Standout tracks: liquid swords Duel on the iron mike Gold I got you back Shadowboxing Living in the world today (there isn’t a skippable in the album)
And plenty of doom as well. As much as I love take me to your leader it’s not one of my favourite doom albums Born like this is massively underrated. gazillion ear a fckin great tune
Vaudeville villain is my favourite doom album, probably my favourite concept album. One of hip hops best kept secrets, I don’t know hardly anyone that’s even heard this record.
Jazzmatazz 1 is groovy as ****. Love that old Skool cover as well. FishScale might be my favourite Ghostface album but there's a few to choose from. Best track off 36 Seasons. Incredible Ghostface still got it. Had this on tape in '91 just before I left school.
2 more brilliant tracks from 36 seasons. Massively slept album but I think it gets overlooked because of 12 reasons to die. Similar concept but a fckin modern hip hop classic Think I prefer this version now
Used to get wasted as a teenager listening to their first 2 albums. When the shit goes down is a fckin tune
Something new school now to balance the thread from you old gits Music video dropped on Christmas Day, but the song was released last week. I know I bang on about him on this forum way too much, but f*ck me there is nobody doing anything like CAS is right now. The 80's style synth beats with dope lyrics just works way better than it has any right to. No need for clever triple entendres and vague references, just sick bars. Even the visuals are on point, and he still turns up with a f*cking prosthetic mask on Cas has pretty much confirmed his debut album will be dropping this year, and I've never been so excited for a body of work.
Ultramagnetic MC's I remember when Our Price opened here and I bought my first CDs (as they had a 3 for 2 opening week offer). £34 for 3 CDs and one was free I got Critical Beatdown along with Slippery When Wet and Pump. My first CDs I bought myself.
Same used to get stoned to the first album. The one I like most now is III (Temples of Boom] Some old skool British shit which I was massively into
