Frantic game at the Shay, but we've got the all important head start. Still could gi either way.. York hit the post and failed to make anything of a mistake in the box. Need that second goal.
Bright start from both sides and Woking created several good chances, we had a couple too, Osadebe almost all the way through on his own. Then midway Inniss went in hard on a 50/50 and got a straight red. Didn't get a good look but probably nothing to complain about. That changed things of course but we settled quickly and if anything Woking were a bit less lively now it was up to them to make the running, though Ward has been required t make a couple of good saves. Then icing on the cake, quick ball forward, Doidge send it over to McAllister just right and he does the rest, cutting back inside and burying it. Just the 45 to see out then.
Pools playing really & some nice football. We should be more than one up though. Keeper having a decent game, but Mani should have beaten the keeper with one of his chances
2-1 up and we're playing some really good attacking football in this second half. It's all in the Maidenhead half, lots of pressure. Kofi Shaw looks a fantastic loan signing. Jarvis could easily get a hat-trick here
Just had a 10 minute spell absolutely laid seige to their goal. They could not get out. Any other team in the league scores in that spell and that's the problem. It's there we just couldn't finish a Sunday dinner
We are utterly, utterly dreadful. Listening to Craig Hignett on comms getting stuck into Widdringtons lack of tactical nous is funny to hear.
Not seen them play yet but I'm erring on forgiving them for It.* Aren't they mostly the same squad from 2leagues below? Have to do anything to get a point with such a jump in a short space of time. *When they shithouse 2 x 1-0 wins v us I will 100% change my tune.
Been told off someone watching tv it was a red, so what the hell do i know. All in all we edged it. Didnt really see the best of us but at the same time struggled to see how dagenham beat gateshead by 7. Take it. A win is a win and keeps us ticking over
That's what champion sides do I guess. They shouldn't have been in the game. But they've just seen first hand our problem can not attack
Despite playing so much of that with ten men, bit disappointed with only the point having nicked a lead as we were coping well with pretty much everything and conceded from a corner, but them's the breaks. Had a few more chances ourselves, and overall should think it will keep morale high in the amp to have held out. Woking probably looked better against our full complement, made a few chances as you'd expect after Inniss went off and the cross that created the corner they scored off was quality, but mostly didn't really seem to know how to break us down.
One way stuff in our game, barely said that this season. Look half decent when we play football, should've really finished with more goals if we're being greedy, keeper pulled off a few decent saves and we've scuffed a few in the 6 yard box. Aldershot looked very poor, missing a proper striker for me, the lad that's shaped like a barrel has a few good touches but no threat at all.
First half we didn’t deserve to go in losing,2nd half we were appalling and worst we have played this season. Halifax bossed the 2 nd half and deserved the win. They closed use down and made us look poor. Big players missing today and not sure how we won.
Bonkers game, should have been about 4-4. Both teams very wasteful, we got punished for not scoring one of the million chances we had in the second half. People being greedy or over hitting passes, when someone else would have had it on a plate.
Managed the game really well today. Got the early goal, then followed it up, should have been 3 or 4 by half time. Tamworth, just a bunch of thugs with noting to offer but Tonks' long throws and thuggery. No effort on target and if we had had a more streetwise ref, then they might have got some of the cards their performance deserved. Must have bullied their way to the wins they have achieved and that lucky winner at Braintree. New 'keeper was very good on his debut. Back four managed their hoof ball style with a bit to spare. Morton controlled the midfield, Husin supported well and Coker drove forward, as a unit so much more positive that Wednesday at Aldershot. Also Bridge back at LWB made us more offensively balanced. Gus was Gus and nearly added to his goal tally, but linked well on the right. Bonne put in much more effort and had three chances to open his account, not taken but earnt the applause when he was subbed. Maybe a goal against Charlton beckons? Pepple, Superb. Out ran, overpowered and out scored their defence. Set up our second superbly. getting better with every appearance. 4 goals now and starting to raise questions of will we be able to get him on a permanent at all. Good prospect at this level at least. Up to 13th, before the result of the late games, unbeaten in 4 and no goals conceded in those games. Moving in the right direction.
We’re a good side but the manager just sits back away and same at home if we’re 1 up with 20 mins left, we’re a mid table side hence a few good results.
Outplayed Rochdale in first half. Second half Dale suddenly came to life after we gifted them the most ridiculous goal. Last 25 Rochdale came at us but we stood firm. Rochdale probably will feel they were worth a point but in all honesty we were all over them first half.
