    Wow.

    4 points in it.

The margins between winning and losing are so fine.

Well done the Pies. Thought Brisbane were going to nick it right at the end.

Lovely to see kids giving the medals out, something they will remember for ever.

Take note the FA at football cup finals.

Yeah that is a lovely touch and something I love to see every year. What was even better was you picked up some chat. When the lad in the wheelchair said “you should be very proud” I got some dust in my eye.

Anyways, it was a great game, a classic for the ages and a brilliant match up for anyone being introduced to the game, that was as good as it gets. I think the lead changed eight or nine times and Brisbane only had two marks in the fifty all game so it was all the more astonishing that they managed to score 86 points. Well deserved for Collingwood who led the league all year, strange that they only managed to win their three play off games by 7, 1 and four points to win the whole thing. As for Brisbane, I don't think they'll be as strong next year and every other team will now want to beat the Pies.

See you all in March 2024..

Have you seen the story regarding the Western Bulldogs, @Red Tide?
They’ve been found guilty and ordered to pay just under $6M for giving a fund raiser, who just happened to be a paedophile, access to a young boy in the 80s. They’re going to appeal but that could put the club back decades if they fail..

No, but just checked it up so I have now.

Western Bulldogs to pay $5.9m to child sexual abuse victim over paedophile access.

Not sure why, they never had byes when I was out there in the early '60s and early '70s, maybe it was because there were only 12 teams in the AFL then all based in Melbourne, Victoria, nowadays there are 18 teams and a lot of interstate teams so maybe it will be down to the traveling factor with fans?

“Early” bye rounds are in Rounds 2, 3, 5 & 6. “Regular” bye rounds are in Rounds 12, 13, 14 & 15. The commissioner has the option to turn Byes on or off. If Byes are turned off there will be no League Games during the “regular” Bye Rounds, but the league WILL have fixtures in the “Early” bye rounds.
