Carlton is either scraping a win or losing by a few points, the Demons are next on the agenda and I can picture a hammering by them.
Bit of a surprise the Hawks beat your Bulldogs, the wife is a Hawks supporter so she is quite happy atm.
Every bounce fell to the Hawks, it was bizarre. Fair play to them, they seemed well up for the fight today whereas the Doggies were terrible.
I just can't work this Bulldogs team out. We've been woeful these last four weeks or so, losing to Hawthorn las week was a huge disappointment, enough so that I left the ground with a quarter left muttering things like "Never again" and "absolute shit show", but then we go and beat Richmond by 91 points last? It doesn't make any sense. I'm still not going again until Bevvo gets sacked..
Just watched Gold Coast thrash Geelong 164-100 Easily the highest scoring game I have seen. Should imagine doesn't happen often a team concedes 150 plus. Crazier still that a team scores 100 yet loses.
My Blues flame is starting to flitter out, started off well but now just hanging in, and at this rate, we might not even reach the final 8.
Just keep watching North Melbourne games if you want high scoring thrashing. Last season we beat them 161-29 and they're not doing too flush this year.
Bulldogs lost at home to a very good Swans side on Thursday night. That was the bad news, the really bad news is that Aaron Naughton was carried off with a knee injury that will keep him out for the majority of what's left of the season. Considering we had no fresh legs on the bench for the final quarter as two players had to go through concussion protocols we did quite well and could have nicked it, but this has been a season of what ifs for me, compounded by the fact that our coach is uber conservative when we have the talent to attack with much more freedom.
My Blues came good again but it will still be a hot and cold season and hopefully make the final eight. I will have to get my head around a few teams using another name... It’s Sir Doug Nicholl's round, in which Indigenous Australian culture and contributions to the game are celebrated. Some of the teams have changed their names to their local Indigenous equivalents to honour this.
I'd love to see the teams using the Indigenous names for good. Good win for Carlton, the Bombers scraped through against a woeful Richmond in front of a big crowd at the G, and the Pies draw again!!!!
Carlton came good against Port Adelaide thank fluff and moved up the ladder to 4th Port Adelaide 10-11 (71) v Carlton 16-11 (107)
Yep, great win for Carlton against a very good PA side. Just watched the highlights of the Footscray win against the Pies last night. Epic result topped off by an epic performance by Marcus, he really should be playing for a much better team that the Bulldogs, a Brownlow medal winner in the making for sure.
Just read a bit about him in Wikipedia, looks the real deal this guy, _____________________________________________________ Marcus Bontempelli is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Western Bulldogs in the Australian Football League. Why aren't there yellow or red cards in the game like in football. Saw hell of a clatter by Bulldogs player on Maynard of Coll. Am all for contact sport but it was an awful challenge.
It's never been that way, whoever is reported by the Umpire if needed for whatever then it goes before a tribunal who will look at the incident and then hand out a suitable punishment of being suspended for a certain amount of games. (a) Where an Umpire reports a Player or Official during the course of a Match, the Umpire shall use their best endeavours to inform the Player or Official of the report: (i) at the time of the incident; (ii) before the commencement of the next quarter; or (iii) where the incident occurs in the final quarter, after the ...
