OK,so I have CS4 and I'm making F1 Cars with it.I just seem to have caught on the F1 bug and I want to make my own cars so to speak. So I took a template from the web,I've coloured it and all and now I want to apply the sponsor logos onto it.Any idea as to how to do that ? Can I just directly apply it onto the car by resizing it and changing their colours.Any help would be massively appreciated.

    Cheers.

Are you trying to import it (the logo) from another image?

If the logo is on a background cut it out and paste onto an opaque background then resize / recolour as you wish.

What Jay said. You just need to remove the background from the logos either with the magic pen tool or you can use the pen tool which gives a smoother edge and is more precise but it's also more complicated.

I had downloaded CS4 around 6 months ago and my pass key has well expired. As my laptop was at the shops I never bothered now since its back though.

On second thoughts is CS5 far better than CS3 because CS4 wasn't that better than CS3 IMO.

A little tip for our resident photoshoppers, who may not already know....

If your designing something which you intend to print out, make sure to create it in "CMYK" mode rather than "RGB". CMYK is designed for print, and RGB is designed for Web design.

Your prints will look far better when printed if created in CMYK mode.

"RGB colour varies light, instead of pigment, to achieve the visible spectrum. We encounter RGB colour in monitors that actually emit light at a certain wavelength, rather than reflect existing light. Therefore, the screen image of a picture in RGB will never match the printed image in CMYK. Although these colour systems are related, one colour cannot directly convert to another."

Don't forget your page margins too, you'll cut off some of your work otherwise :thumb

CS5 - anyone got an opinion about it? As you know - probably, I use CS3 still.

(Couldn't find a good copy last year of 4)
