This season, spending close to £10M on Lee, Ricketts, Knight and Robinson is scandalous for so many reasons.

Coyle won't have much to spend and can only see us bringing in one or two players in January, I imagine he'll be given a decent amount of money if we survive this season.

God, how times change. We were 3rd in January 2006 and didn't give Allardyce a penny to spend, ended up bringing in David Thompson and a couple of unknown Scandinavians who've done nothing, now we throw money at Managers to keep us in the league. :(

but he also said to the board if he left it would be for bolton or celtic so does that not cover it then. maybe the reason he saw himself there for rest of season was cos he never expected to get offered bolton job

Coyle masks on sale for £2 in the club shop today, I've been told that if one were to tear off a simple piece of replacement adhesive, a nice big Burnley badge is present. Nothing like a bit of cost cutting.

Especially when they were being given away for free by fans outside the ground.

The business side of football is pathetic.

Went and grabbed my tickets for the Bolton game today. Tried getting the upper tier but they'd all gone so went for the lower :)

Ever been? Upper tier is an awesome view, but much prefer to be fairly high up in the lower tier myself, feel much more involved.

Won't be going to this myself, back in Bristol, hopefully it'll be a good game and the football won't be completely spoiled by the Coyle factor.

Yes i come to the Reebok with Burnley when Tony Ellis scored for us in a 1-1 draw, think it ended 1-1 anyhow. Come to one of your play off games for something to do years ago aswell on a madhot day against Ipswitch. Bird i was seeing at the time was a Bolton fan you see:(

Remember it well, one of the first games of the season if I remember correctly? Per Frandsen scored ours, penalty.
