Daniel Sturridge is injured again for tonight's clash with Bordeaux with a foot injury. Now the guy is a quality player and one of the best strikers in Europe but he is never fit should Liverpool just sell him or continue letting him earn £150k a-week for not playing every time he breaks a nail ? I would love to have him fit and available but ive got to admit i am getting tired of his injury proneness if he doesn't get fit I would sell him.
What da fuq! I'm sure that his Liverpool days could be over if this continues for too much longer. Sad, but Klopp will get his own signings in and Sturridge will be left in the cold.
A waste of space that could have a very good career but will forever be injured. He's not alone; Phil Jones is another good player who is constantly getting injured, and Wilshere springs to mind too
I'm seriously starting to believe the rumours regarding his injuries being more psychological than physical. One big difference between most injury prone players and Wilshere is that Jack actually doesn't pick up many muscle injuries, most of his problems come from impact injuries, in the last 1.5 years there's been challenges from Agger, Mcnair and Gabriel (training) that have kept him out for long periods. There's actually some hope for him.
Such a blow to for Sturridge and England, thank god we have Kane and Vardy both on fire (Hopefully continue on this season now)
I was really shocked to hear the news Sturridge has picked up another injury.. He's a crock. Barely newsworthy anymore. Decent striker but never available so ultimately pointless.
How do you does to sell it? if he is in fit is very strong and you need. if is injured you can not sell.
Keep the faith and hope he repays it, with performances and his own loyalty. We went through it with van Persie and got the performances but not the loyalty.
Just saw this - shame as he's a quality player and always seems a likeable guy, but it's getting to that point where you're seriously wondering about his future.
Where does his value come from? No one would risk large wages and a fee for a player they may be lucky to see get 15 games a season
This guy is nothing but a pretender. He has a long way to go before he's anything like Anderton class.
Ouch - that's actually a worse record than I'd realised. I need to track down the Anderton stats now!
Thing is, Anderton was consistent over a period well exceeding a decade. Sturridge may we'll be consistently fit after this season - I guess we just won't know until then. Form is temporary - class is permanent.
Waste of space, time and money. The best part of 18 months he's barely made the pitch for one injury problem or another. Get rid if we can get a decent offer.
The worst part is you get a lot of nobheads who actually blame Sturridge, Pretty sure he loves playing football.
