Ah , nice one , the Telegraph used to do a Cheltenham Festival game where you could win £2,000 .

I got France beating Belgium in the Final .

Portieri: Gianluigi Donnarumma (Milan), Alex Meret (Napoli), Salvatore Sirigu (Torino).
Difensori: Francesco Acerbi (Lazio), Alessandro Bastoni (Inter), Leonardo Bonucci (Juventus), Giorgio Chiellini (Juventus), Giovanni Di Lorenzo (Napoli), Emerson Palmieri (Chelsea), Alessandro Florenzi (Paris Saint Germain), Gianluca Mancini (Roma), Leonardo Spinazzola (Roma), Rafael Toloi (Atalanta).
Centrocampisti: Nicolò Barella (Inter), Bryan Cristante (Roma), Jorginho (Chelsea), Manuel Locatelli (Sassuolo), Lorenzo Pellegrini (Roma), Matteo Pessina (Atalanta), Stefano Sensi (Inter), Marco Verratti (Paris Saint Germain).
Attaccanti: Andrea Belotti (Torino), Domenico Berardi (Sassuolo), Federico Bernardeschi (Juventus), Federico Chiesa (Juventus), Ciro Immobile (Lazio), Lorenzo Insigne (Napoli), Matteo Politano (Napoli).

Very disappointed for Kean (17 goals with PSG and out), Meret instead of Cragno and Sensi instead of Castrovilli.
And again, I really don't know why Mancini called Bernardeschi and Emerson.

Yeh, he’s come up through the academy and looks like an exciting prospect. Page is showing a lot of faith in him as he’s only started 3 times for us. Seems to have sprouted in height and will be a presence once he’s physically matured.

Happy with the squad overall. There are a couple I’m not too sure about. The key will be how many first choices we can get on the pitch at the same time.

Wonder what odds you can get on Hungary getting out their group...

Mancini seems to love Bernadeschi. I just think he needs to leave Juve. He has talent but it's not worked out there, and while I'm sure he's on a very nice wage, he's wasting his career. Cragno surely deserved it over Meret, who doesn't even play all that often, and prob not as good either.

Very good squad on the whole. Think the main concern is the same as usual - Ciro and Belotti just not firing in an Italy shirt like they do for their clubs. Quite striking that Milan basically have no one in that squad now. Calabria unlucky not to go.

Bookies have us as joint favourites with France, no idea why, we are garbage.

Hoping to get some nationalist bets probably.

How would you rate Italy's chances? I have them in a work sweepstake but to be honest I haven't heard of many of that squad. Bit different from the days of Totti, Nesta. Vieri etc

The bookies know that folk will bet on England anyway, so they make the odds shorter than our "true" odds so they don't lose out if a miracle happens and we go all the way.

Sounds like the guys to miss out on the 26 are Ward Prowse , TAA, Watkins , Saka , White , Godfrey and Ramsdale.

Nice. I have us out in the quarters to France, and France going on to beat Germany in the final. Belgium and Portugal to fill out the semis.

Which I assume means Maguire, Jordan Henderson and Phillips are fit enough to start?

I hope we're not relying on injured players again...

    We’ll see I guess.

Didn’t Rashford say he had a knock too?

We could have predicted the 7 last week and saved the time making them wait.

I guess he only wants one other main striker which DCL will be.

And clearly Southgate doesn’t rate Alexander Arnold .

Shame for JWP but we have lots of midfield options.

Rest are ones for the future .

Blessing in disguise for JWP. Bloke has played an absurd amount of football these last 2 seasons, add Euros to that and there's a very real possibility he runs himself into the ground.

Gets a rest as you say rather than just sitting on the bench for 2/3 weeks kicking his heals .

Same with the others dropped .

Rashford's been sh*te for last 5/6 weeks , albeit he seems to play better for England than Man U , as long as Kane's 100% we have a fighting chance !

They could always be making late calls with them, they can be replaced before the first game if they aren't going to be fit.

And Sterling has been off form but they won’t be dropped .

Hopefully Kane will be fully focused and not distracted by transfer talk.
