As 92 says, because of the owner and not the club, for a non football related debt, with an agreed payment plan, that Stewart LLP tried to jump the list of others who we have made the same agreement with who will all be paid once the Consortium take ownership of the club. That would also include us as fans in the form of the Shrimpers \trust who lent Ron £40k that he has still not paid, but have a similar agreement with the new would be owners. No-one apart from Ron Martin thinks Stewart LLP shouldn't get what they are owed. The only reason we are in court is because the Consortium have said they will not pay anymore of Ron Martin's debts until it has full ownership of the football club. Which should be by mid-May, once the council has confirmed the plans for F. Farm are acceptable, on the meeting 24th April and once that has been passed, as you will probably not read and ignored, as is your M.O, the companies that our greedy owner has borrowed money on against land that the loanees have put charges on, remove the charges and transfer them to Ron's land at Fossetts farm. Once again all caused by Ron, not the football club. More facts for you to ignore.
What’s that I smell is it chicken…….? No not chicken, erm is it pork…….? No what can it be…..? Got it, it’s some big juicy BEEF and it’s cooking in this thread beautifully.
Slight whiff of stroganoff around Shots v Gateshead, some weird conspiracy theories around. People need to get a life.
Gateshead have nobody to blame but themselves over that, terrible treatment of Aldershot and their fans
We’ve found new owners, current ones to stay in as minority and the new owners have stakes in clubs over in the USA and also in Europe but no names yet as still going through.
Wonder if it's the same crew recently looking at Rochdale, think they had links to the US and a club in Holland?
Don’t think so, hearing they have an Italian Serie B side in their portfolio. Could be wrong of course.
New owners confirmed. Back in with a chance now. Dagenham & Redbridge FC | CLUB UNDERDOG ACQUIRES CONTROLLING INTEREST IN DAGENHAM & REDBRIDGE
Daggers transaction so much simpler than ours [sigh]. Laurie Pinto involved on the advisory front as he was with ours. Still only another week to go.......................................supposedly.
I believe we will have a bigger budget than last season but that’s not difficult, it was the best of 3 offers to buy the club and the one who wanted to invest more capital so let’s see who we sign as that will be the only indicator.
It was, with this WUP coming from the lawyers Stewart LLP, that represented us (Ron), in the previous WUP in 22 and 23 were not paid by the club (Ron, surprise, surprise), which is why for the last few WUPs Ron was representing himself on our behalf, (Big of him) as he couldn't engage another company for obvious reasons. The consortium had offered, along with other creditors, a guarantee of payment, once the takeover is complete, which Stewart LLP allegedly accepted. Then after arguing on our behalf, that it is wrong to wind up a football club, which is a community asset and will be under new ownership and has a bright future...............they decided that they should wait and went for the WUP on 15th April. After pressure from fans in form or emails to them directly highlighting their hypocrisy and not denying they should be paid what they are owed, including them having articles on their website espousing how unfairly treated Everton and Forest have been treated and they could represent them "for the good of football", they agreed to adjourn the WUP, if the court was in agreement, which they were, on the basis that Ron said the transaction should be complete by 15th May. Would have taken that with a pinch of salt, but he was backed up by Justin, which gave it more credence. Trouble is, there is nothing now the consortium can do now that contracts have been exchanged. It's the DD stage of the council that is the last hurdle to cross, but they are waiting for certain information from......................you've guessed it, Ron before they can sanction the lease that Ron wants on the land, prior to planning permission being granted for the new project. But the Lease being granted, triggers the ability for all parties to complete the transaction and we are sold. If you're of an age, Soap on a Friday night was so much more straightforward!
I'm not afraid to say it, Geez I wish we were in their position. New Owners, history of financial success and business acumen with an interest in developing a club from the ground up. We have a couple of those boxes ticked, but we also have the shadow of Ron still lurking after all this time FFS!
