Had this discussion at the weekend with another QPR fan. He was saying that he wants to be safe by the time we do Covenrty away. I said I would rather have something to play for and then manage to do it. I just think it's so much more exciting if there is something to play for. Mid table and safe is a bit boring! It would be a celebration if we were already safe but I prefer the game to have an edge. We'll get relegated now ive said that.
Not going to lie i'm stunned the Rotherham keeper isn't in that team, he's hands down the best keeper i've seen all season
Johannson is pretty good but I'd imagine plenty of keepers in the league would look better if they were expected to concede 2 or 3 a game and under a constant barrage of shots. I don't actually think there's a standout keeper in the league this season. Not many bad ones either though.
It's probably because of all the 85 goals he has conceded. They don't consider the amount of incredible saves he has pulled off.
Palmer for me was the best i've seen against us this season and we've given most keepers a lot of work to do.
Thing is the 85 would probably double that if you had our keeper instead. Would love us to sign him but think he'll go to a lower prem team to be honest
He's got a 12 month option and says he's happy to stay but he probably needs to go if he wants to become Sweden's No1 keeper. His agent was smart enough to put a clause in his contract before he signed his current deal with a get out figure rumoured to be around £1million. Everyone is moaning we should be getting a lot more but he wouldn't have signed without the cause so it's all irrelevant. Sheffield United have been interested for a year or so and supposedly an un-named Premier League have been watching him. We need a bit of a bidding war to get anything like his true worth to us but we'll see what happens. He's a very popular guy around town, he quite often used to pop into the Spoons in town after the match with his family who are often over from Sweden. He's always approachable and happy to get selfies taken he will be missed greatly next season.
Oh dear . If the worse comes to the worse , he can sit alongside our Bazza at London Road next season & Bazza can teach him the words to " Keep Right On "
Been looking at possible scenarios for the title/promotion push and there's a really interesting last day situation if we beat Leicester and all four sides win all their other games which would mean we could go into the last game with the table being Ipswich: 95 points Leicester: 94 points Leeds: 93 points Saints: 93 points Would be like the old relegation battles at the Dell where you were relying on people telling you the scores during games (and sometimes telling the players too)
I thought the same. Armstrong has been brilliant and far more deserving over Rutter, who admittedly has also been very good but from a deeper position than Armstrong.
I’ll have piss taking about the Yank owner giving it the big spuds off most people, though fans of clubs with a drummer to generate an atmosphere need not apply..
Ipswich and Rotherham goalkeeper's the best I've seen this season. Hermansen's looked shakey on occasion to me, but they have only conceded 38 goals.
Shame that Cooper the Plymouth keeper has been injured for much of the season, he’s a very good goalie. Didn’t think much to the Middlesbrough keeper the other night, has to be said.
Wednesday have already signed him though. Not sure how they pay for him but that’s not stopped them in the past.
