Probably why Klopp's really tapping out. Already suffered one defeat to us :)

Absolutely gutted but in a way kind of had a feeling this was coming. I honestly thought 18 months max he'd stay, the fella looks shattered at times when you see him being interviewed these days. Totally respect his decision though, the energy that fella puts into every aspect of the game must be ****ing draining.

Gotta say, perfect timing for Xabi, think he'll absolutely jump at the job.

Absolutely no chance in the world that will happen mate, he'd hate it over there. He'll take a year or so out and then take the German job I reckon.

My reading of it is that the club has already signed his replacement that they've been lining up since November when he let the club know that he's leaving at the end of the season. Maybe we will get news of it in the next couple of weeks once this has had the chance to sink in.

Agree with @Jason though, strange they didn't wait until the end of next week when the window closes. I can only assume they have no intention of signing anyone else so it makes no difference.

As for him going to Saudi, more chance of Liverpool lining me up as his replacement.

It does seem strangely early in the season to be announcing though.

I guess there is no right time but usually expect stuff like this bit closer to the end. Sir Alex was like March/April right?

**** me it was early May.

What a lovely start to the day. Only a matter of time now before Salah walks too. Chin up boys.

You’d think you’ve got someone lined up to do it now. It will most likely have a galvanising effect for the rest of the season too, wanting him to go out on a big high so makes a lot of sense

Yeah maybe could be a question of Klopp knowing himself. He maybe felt he had to announce it or else if kept private he's more likely to change his mind.

Don't worry, it doesn't effect you lot. We could get Frank Lampard in and we'd still finish above the blue shite.

    good for him.

He would be the one guy i could imagine partying on the beach and having a great time unlike hodgson who is basically addicted to football or to the day to day and is now doddering about getting abuse off palace fans.

You never know, there is always hope. He might turn around and do a 2002 Alex Ferguson.

thats never happening. LFC fans will recall his very first interview when hired on he said exactly what he would do. We got probably 3 more years than we deserved out of him so we should be thanking him for that.

    Great times.

Xabi Alonso would be a vibe though it must be said. Man is as sexy as he's ever been.

We simply don't have a bit enough bat to wedge him out his seat at Spurs' training ground.

Yeah, although I could still see him taking the German job in a few years after a rest. International manager jobs are basically part time so not as tiring.

Totally respect his decision, he's given his absolute all to every job he's had. Go enjoy your life fella.
