Duke-McKenna joins Charlie Kelman at Leyton Orient. Good signing that, I wanted him to be playing more for the first team so I hope he does well.

Kelman seems to be doing well, is he playing well?

Gilbey is a fantastic signing for Stevenage.

For some reason it’s just not worked out here but there is no doubt, he should not be playing in League 2. I think location has played a big part in this one.

Marcel Lavinier in from Spurs after terminating his contract.
Hoping for a couple of attackers and McKirdy's move to Hibs to fall through

That's my 25/1 antepost bet of him to be top goalscorer down the pan

Meanwhile we've brought Dion Pereira back in on loan from Luton and with it confirmed the L2 title.

Luke Jephcott joins Swindon on loan. He is good enough to score plenty of goals at this level, and I’m quite annoyed that we’ve let him go, feels like a decision we will come to regret this season.

Almost a goal every three games after just over a hundred appearances at his age is a seriously impressive record, and hopefully he continues that with Swindon.

Yeah I'm quite impressed we got him, hope he can hit similar form to the last time he was down here.

He’s at the CG today with his son.
    …it’s really happening, isn’t it?

I'm sure you've seen on TEF someone saying it's done. Dunno how I feel if Clem has overruled SDM and SL, sets a precedent that could put future managers off.

Think we need more than just a striker.
No creativity, no guile, no impetus.
    Passing for passings sake

Yeah definitely, I have only seen a handful of games this season but it's not been much fun to watch. Feels a bit rudderless/lacking in leadership on and off the pitch.

    It’s just…dull.
Hate this over reliance / emphasis on possession / passing / ball retention.

It’s ****ing pointless. You win **** all for style.

If you can win games by lumping it long to completely talentless lump to flick on for a quick pacey player who can finish 30% of the time and do nothing else then do it…

People might talk about your team negatively on social media but who cares if you’re winning?

I said on the TEF - it’s decision time now.
If we are going to change the manager we have to do it now. With the window about to open and half the season left. If we’re gonna stick with Lindsey through January then we might as well stick with him till the end of the season. You’re not going to get much benefit out of changing a manager in March/April time. If you’re changing a manager that late you’re basically admitting that your season is done and the new gaffer is coming in to see out the season, look at the players and start planning for next seasons

We were in a similar position last year with Garner and we stuck and it turned out ok. Still debatable whether that was Garner earning his strips or him falling into a formation that worked (better) due to players being injured & McKirdy hitting the best form of his career…

Big month for us - whichever way you look at it…

I think Garner got lucky tbh for the reasons you said, SL was forced into the same decision earlier and we had an uptick in results and now we've gone back to the previous set up?!
I wonder if Clem is back for more than just a chat with Austin..

Must be more…seen as about a week ago they were both in Australia.

Bit of an inconvenience for two people in Australia to come across the world to England just to have a chat don’t you think?

Our trajectory to finish mid table this year then get relegated next year is very much on track

But there’s rumours of a takeover by a local drug dealer and thug so at least there’s that!

Yeah can't imagine he's just flown back for a handshake and a photo, at least not with Austin.

Might have shot our load a bit early on that deal any way...
