Great to see that we really are a changed club pushing for promotion with our 3 young loan signings :laugh:

We've brought in Tolaji Bola on loan from Rotherham. Slightly worrying he's only played about 20 games at the age of 24... Hughes must rate him though as we've loaned out Matty Foulds who has started the last 14 games in the same position.... risky but hopefully it pays off.

We've also loaned out Jake Young to Barrow. Baffling decision to loan out our second top scorer to a promotion rival, hopefully doesn't score the goals to cost us a play off spot...

Complete guess on my part but that sounds like you’re moving anyone out you can to free up wages.

Might be case of get a higher earner out to replenish with two players on lower wages.

Kinda what you did with Us & Doyle a few years back

…or I could be massively wrong in my assumptions

I think it is a wrong assumption to be fair. The left back we’ve sent out is only a young lad and will be nowhere near one of our top earners, can even see us paying the new loanee more… Hughes has just said with the change in formation he needs a more attacking full back which is fair enough. A risk but hopefully it pays off. As for Young, again he’s only a young lad we signed this summer on a 3 year deal so can’t see him being on massive money either.

Thoughts? Just did a quick check and seen he’s missed the last 3 games but other than that he’s been in the team. He’s 34 which is a bit worrying, are you sad to see him go or have we got another has-been?

There an experienced, decent player in there still. But he’s too slow and doesn’t suit the way Schofield wants us to play. Basically what we were concerned about when we signed him came true

Could be a decent signing in the short term but I’m not sad to see him go at all

Did alright at the end of last season and was alright under McSheffrey when the ball wasn't flying over his head but doesn't have the energy to play in Schofield's team so it's the right choice.

Guess we'll wait and see then. Not exactly the young energetic goalscoring midfielder we need but oh well.

He didn't do much at Walsall, but we were pretty poor while he was here tbf.
    He's a hard worker.

90th minute winner ? He’s going to bag a hattrick. He’s scored 8 goals in the conference this year that’s how ambitious we are!

Scott Lindsey (who was on the verge of being sacked here) has come back to raid his old club by signing injury prone Ben Gladwin the slowest footballer ever….

If you’d have told me a month or so ago we’d get money for Lindsey & Gladwin I’d have said you were off your rocker.

I guess the rumours about Gladwin not liking SL were untrue. Although looking at his face perhaps not.

Charlie Lakin signed on loan from Burton. Seems to be a decent signing

I’ve just seen a stat which sums up our troubles though. Since the summer of 2019/20 we’ve made:
    - 65 signings in total
    - 35 permanents
    - 30 loans

That’s a ridiculous amount of signings in that space of time. ‘Rebuilding’ every window is not sustainable, and each window the quality of signings get worse and worse
