brewster is confirmed as going to Swansea on loan. I think it's a great call. manager knows him, he needs games to really get fit and improve and finally one fa cup tie isnt worth delaying over.
Needs game time after his injury. Hopefully he can get into the first team from next season, though he didn't come close this year despite us losing Sturridge last summer.
could be. seriously though it wouldn't be a bad outcome for next year if we have our front 3, origi, Elliott, minamino and of course mbappe From where he's at today it'd be a very good result.
Not for me, I am tired of the loan system and to me it just seems a way for clubs to make a tidy profit on young players in the end. If a player is good enough then he is old enough and seeing Brewster end up at Swansea on loan in a season where he was supposed to push to become a squad player is bittersweet in my books. Solace in the fact he gets competitive game time having had bad luck with injuries. Hopefully he makes it!
Well yeah i guess it was a silly question he will just keep going on loan for the next 2/3 years, you watch. Another Wilson.
I reckon so. The loan system is a crock of shit for blooding players in. Handy for turning an eventual profit and helping out clubs in the lower leagues, nothing more.
Hardliner? Always used to think there was a limit from my days playing Football Manager but Chelsea have proven that perhaps there isn't for the selling club. But yeah, it needs reform.
I’ve never played Football Manager but I didn’t think there was strict limits in place but there needs to be. It won’t change though. Have we got Wilson back or is he on loan for the season? And Chirivella was linked to Forest on loan? So I think he’s another.
Imagine Wilson will stay out until end of the season. Chrivella was decent the other night but could tell by way he played he'd never make it at the club tbh. Got on the ball and played some nice passes with little pressure from the Everton midfield but mostly kept doing that the whole night - never looked to break and get at Everton the way Jones did. And in the end Jones got his reward, which is why I'd have high hopes for him.
I was hoping Bournemouth would buy him but that’s highly unlikely but I don’t think he’ll be hard to sell on. Yeah I’d rather we concentrate on Jones as he’s much younger too, a few thought he was poor first half the other day but I thought he did well. But he’s deserved to be given a chance for sure. I don’t really know much about your finances but I take it you are not flush?
Thought he was good to brilliant the whole game tbh. Got involved in attacks, in the midfield of course, tracked back and even ended up out wide left towards the end. The difference between him and and Chirivella was that the latter stayed in his comfort zone whereas Jones took hold of the game... sign of a real player.
Spent £0.5 million in the summer, after bringing in £40 million in player sales. Unless he's going for a few hundred grand, we can't afford him.
