Yellowstone Park in Montana, down to Grand Tetons in Wyoming, across to Craters of the Moon in Idaho, then down through Utah to Bryce Canyon, and Zion's Nation Park. South into Arizona to the Grand Canyon, and then around to Flagstaff and onto Route 66 into California. Then finally up into Nevada to the Hoover Dam and Las Vegas.

Vegas is a dump. Smells awful (sewers don't get any natural rainfall so they don't clear quickly), oppressive heat during the day, and covered with beggars during the night. The street performers and the strip is fun enough, but it's also absolutely covered in litter. Only part of the holiday I didn't love.

    Great shots there R&R.

Just back from Phuket and Koh Phi Phi. The beaches of Kata, Karon and Patong are heavily populated with Russiand trying to turn their skin red and puffy as quickly as possible and in the main succeeding. The vendors who were told to bugger off when the army took over are slowly creeping back, and while were there were a few massage tents were being erected, so it won't be long before they're all back and the beaches will once again be ruined.

Koh PP on the other hand was fantastic. It's a bit party central of a night with the non stop (and annoying after a bit) fire shows, but the beaches there are beautiful. Couple of photos to follow when I get my act together.

To be honest, going to Phuket and complaining that the beaches aren't unspoilt is like going to Blackpool and saying it's a bit commercialised. Ko Samui is much nicer, even if Cheweng (town, not beach) is pretty ugly.

I see your point but the beaches were restored to their original beauty under Martial law, now it's just returning to the old. shit ways.

And Samui is nicer as long as you avoid the whole of the east coast, which should be declared a disaster area..

Didn't know where to put this so it's in here. Went to clean my teeth this morning and there's a metre long snake wrapped around the tap staring straight back at me. Another normal day in Thailand.

Waited for three hours for pest control until me and the landlord got it sorted by snaring it in a sack. He took it away and I just know it's in somebody's pot now..

Good pics, derbysadler. I have never been to Scotland, and should really add it to my list.
