What a finish to day 1 that is. USA have completely bottled it. Rahm with 2 eagles in 3 holes to half and then the last group to win the last 2 holes to tie. NO RED ON THE BOARD.
So we can win the cup tomorrow then What a start. Great decision by Luke Donald to change the sessions round and Rahm at the end wow. A long long way to go. Medinah always makes me think that whatever lead either team have will not be enough until it is all over.

Incredible first day. How big could those three halves in the fourball matches this afternoon be come Sunday? The Americans would have been absolutely delirious if they'd managed to end the day only 3-5 behind.
They were massive, particularly going into the foursomes they notoriously struggle. We need to turn the screw this morning in particular, get to at least 9-3.
USA down bigly in first two matches and tied in other two. You get the sense that there is something really amiss in the camp! At this rate, the last day could be a proper damp squib.
