Europe v South America. The German powerhouse vs Messi's chance for international glory. Germany coming off a 7-1 pounding of the hosts while Argentina comes from a scoreless victory by penalties against the Dutch.

Lots of good story lines for this one. Hoping for an Argentina victory.

Who will the Brazilians support? Their biggest rivals or the team that completely humiliated them?

Neither but they will certainly not want Argentina.

    No questions there.

I quite happily admit to despising the Argies. I would possibly even cheer Spurs to beat them. Germany should win comfortably. The Argies haven't looked good at any point, a bit like Italia 90 where they lost to Germany in the final. Let's hope for a repeat.

I know that's more recent than WW2 but hardly on the same scale now is it.

I was 18 and had grown up.

I predicted the semi finals and outcomes at the start of the tournament and I am going to stick with my Germany prediction to win.

Argentina yet again. Gonna be tougher than 4 years ago. I`d wish the almighty Maradona was still in charge there.
Hummels may not be available for the final. Has an irritated/inflamed tendon. That`s why he was subbed at halftime v Brazil. Would be quite a blow.

Hopefully he is available, but if not do you think we might see one of the centrebacks who have been pushed wide played centrally with Lahm reverting back to fullback? Germany to win for me, far more convincing over the course of the tournament. That said it'd be happy for Maxi Rodriguez & Mascherano to win it :).
