Not sure about the potential Richarlison transfer... its a lot of money for someone who doesn't really improve the first team, and he seems like a pretty shitty person to have in the dressing room.
It is a lot of money, but he could be fantastic as either a back up option for rotation or injury. I'm not 100% on where he plays but I've read he can anywhere across the front 3. If we want to compete on potentially 4 fronts next year, he should get plenty of game time if we rotate
Looks like Bissouma is a done deal. Hopefully Spence to follow soon. Not really that fussed about Richarlison but given our early business, it looks like we really mean business this summer. Hopefully have a good pre-season and then go for the quadruple
Saw this one on reddit How different things would look now if we never signed Son and went for Berahino instead
Yeah I saw that aswell Son will go down as one of our best ever players and probably our best ever foreign player.. He'll probably surpass Defoe's goalscoring record for us this coming season and break 100 Premier League goals too.
He's looking good. bit of brazilian flair but also good in the air as well. Looked really good against fulham as well. he really gets stuck in and he riles up the opposition. a nice little added bonus as well looks like whenever one of Kane, Son or Kulusevski is injured/rested ... we won't miss a beat.
About time we signed a decent Brazilian. Fair play to Richy, settled very quickly and come in similar to VDV did for us. Instant fan favourite. The fans love him, constantly have his song stuck in my head too.
Thought someone might come back at me with Moura Undoubtedly given us one of the greatest nights in recent history but I don't think he's all that really. He's probably the pick of the Brazilians that we've had but I don't think he's a top player by any stretch. I do still think there's a place for him in our squad mind you.
Ah that's a shame, I thought he was just going out on loan to Atletico. Would have definitely kept him over Emerson Royal for sure, especially for his versatility.
It's a shame it hasn't worked out. Like you I thought it was going to be a loan move, and thought he still had plenty to offer if we played the right system. The sad fact is he's been moved on because he doesn't suit a manager who is unlikely to be at the club himself in 6 months time.
Looks like it was because we already had 8 players on international loans, new FIFA rule says we cant have more out on loan. Wouldn't be surprised to hear we have got a pre contract agreement signed with him to bring him back at the end of the season.
blimey!! we've really gone into overdrive this last week or so. vicario! Maddison! Solomon! Van De Ven! i'm hoping this is part of a new strategy where we actually get our business done early in the summer and bed the new signings in.. as opposed to the usual stringe of last minute deals on august 31st
