Rodgers, Martinez, Monk. Is the criteria for any Merseyside club "How well did he do at Swansea?"

Lets not get carried away. Rodgers knows that he is likely to be gone unless there is a dramatic turn around from now on and even then it may be too late for him. Talk of a relegation battle is OTT though.

Will be interesting to see how far he drops when he gets sacked. Will he go to the Championship or can he hold out for a Prem job? Always the possibility of going abroad too.

He will end up at Newcastle IMO.

Personally I think he should take a break as he needs it and look to manage in Spain when he returns.

As bad as Rodgers is, he's still a step up from McClaren, thank the lord

I think Liverpool need to give Brendon more time. He took them to within a game or two of winning the League just two years ago. He is clearly the best young manager on the planet right now. Be patience and let him work his magic on your club, it will be great in the end! I believe one of the issues most clubs have is they want instant success and that doesn't always happen. What is the problem with another year or two out of the Champions League? Being in the Europa League won't hurt you ability to retain the services of players that much. You folks have a proud tradtion of winning many trophies in the 1970's and 80's. You have a very loyal fan base, this is just a little trouble for a short period of time. Brendon will right the ship if he is given enough time.

Everyone knows we're going to finish 5th or 6th this season.

If we're wretched pretty much all season we'll finish 7th or 8th. If we're exceptional for the rest of the season we could get top 4. In reality, Rodgers will be gone anyway if results don't pick up pronto and the latter isn't going to happen, although its'a possibility if someone like Klopp came in and got instant results.

Yeah, he's had quite a bit of personal turmoil since being here, did I read somewhere that in the last three years he has lost both parents, split up from his wife and had his son ridiculously dragged into a sexual assault case?

I wasn't trying to get under your skin or be a wum. I have said it since he moved to Liverpol. If he is given enough time he could be your Sir Alex. I hardly ever post in your forum but I do feel he is the right choice for Liverpool long term.

I dont think everyone thinks that at all , we are in real trouble , this squad is rubbish and in real danger of finishing out of the top 10 or worse,

Nothing quite like a bi of hysteria.

Yeah, he's had a hell of a lot going on in the background. It's had to have taken a toll on him personally and I don't think he needs the abuse & shit he's getting.
