his parents both passed away with the big C unfortunatley, but these things do happen, I can understand his mind being like a jig-saw with this, as for separating from his wife, I ver read she left, no reason given, again families don't stick together these days through thick and this. As for his son, haven't heard a ducky bird, no doubt all these terrible happenings in such a short time, have taken a toll. Even more reason for him to step down, gather himself. It has to be too much.......oh, then try to manage the country's most decorated team. Sentiment though does not help anyone
On a lighter note, Rodgers needs to improve his vocabulary.
as for separating from his wife, I ver read she left, no reason given she left him because he was having an affair with one of the receptionists at Anfield so i'd put that one down to self inflicted
Rodgers is saying he can compete with quality players but he is the one bringing in the shite, I dont care what commitee delegates or whatever and the end of the day Rodgers is the one that okay's the player coming in and over the 3 seasons he has been here his transfer dealings have been mostly terrible
When a manager is paying so much attention to criticism & starts illogically ranting then it's the beginning of the end. & with Everton & Spurs away coming up, it would be a surprise if Rodgers was still in a job in a few weeks. I don't believe the Klopp stories though. Apparently he wants assurances that he'd be in control of transfers, yet he never was Dortmund so that story doesn't ring true. Of course he may want more control this time, but I still doubt it has any basis in reality.
If Klopp comes in then we can just ditch the transfer committee and hire a DoF. That's what FSG initially wanted wasn't it? If memory serves Rodgers initially knocked us back(hence the talks with Martinez) because of his reluctance to work under a sporting director at the time(Louis van Gaal I believe).
Rendan Bodgers and Liverpool have been incredibly unlucky with injuries. With a fit squad I think Bodgers would have done a hell of a lot better. Good manager.
Rodgers has the attributes to be a good manager, if he can get the defensive side of his attributes better, he would be an even better manager. Because he just hasn't got that right over the time he has been with us, and we have relied a lot on outscoring opponents, and in certain games, it will bite you. Look at the Palace game for example.
Passing & build up was so slow and the decision making was off tonight. Frustrating watching us, Moreno in that 2nd half had acres but we kept going inside or to Ibe, who has absolutely no confidence whatsoever. It's simply not good enough.
5 points off top spot with seven games played. All of those seven games being to some degree a shite performance. It's quite clear Rodgers was never the manager to take Liverpool back into the top four or challenge for the title. Liverpool came second in spite of Rodgers, not because of him. Saurez singlehandedly boosted the team and his performances alone show just how excellent a player he was. Rodgers is blaming everyone but himself, and his press conferences are becoming as embarassing as Hodgsons were. There is no way to excuse last nights performance. Sion are in every fashion a shit team of which many championship sides could defeat. It's the like of game Liverpool should be winning by 5+ goals, and yet they came out and played as if they were facing Barcelona, not some 2-bit shit swiss team that finished seventh in the superleague and can't afford to pay their own players. And Liverpool lost one and drew the other, looking like Derby County struggling to gain a point in the process. For Liverpool at the moment, there is no "getting the hard games out the way" because as West Ham and Norwich shows, every single game is going to be a struggle to gain a point or more. There are no match winners in the squad, no world class players, and the player with the most flair - Coutinho - is reverting to the player of two years ago who cannot shoot and has more poor games than good games. Rodgers is rightfully taking an insane amount of stick, and with Everton, Tottenham, Southampton, Bournemouth and Chelsea being the next five games, Liverpool will be very lucky to finish with any more than 5 points from 15.
Apparently both Paul Joyce and Bascombe have said FSG will take the international break to review Rodgers position. If you have to review a managers position twice in just 3 months it shows the writing is on the wall.
