Pele seems to always be saying something along the lines of "_______ is the greatest footballer I've ever seen." or "________ is the best footballer in the world right now." Pele would give an interview to a Portuguese magazine on Monday and say Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player in the world, and then on Tuesday he'd give an interview to an English magazine saying Wayne Rooney is the best player in the world, and then on Wednesday he'd give an interview to a Swedish magazine saying Ibrahimovic is the best player in the world.

Right now, Gerrard is playing better than any player in the world except Messi. I can't compare him to Maradona as I've never seen him play live, only old recorded matches and highlights. As I see it, Gerrard is a great player. Certainly one of the greatest players to play for our club, and that's not an easy thing to achieve.
