He just sat there laughing, I haven't really followed the ongoing problems at Blackpool even though it is quite well documented, but even his face just winds me up. On a side note our board have issued a statement http://www.htafc.com/news/article/huddersfield-town-blackpool-dean-hoyle-2436909.aspx So, so happy we have Dean Hoyle as chairman.
Hang on a minute... if the game is abandoned aren't tickets valid for the rematch or a full refund offered? so surely the Huddersfield fans who lost money yesterday can apply for refunds? That would be even better by taking money back out of the club too?
Sorry for the removal of your quote Mafs. I have ever sympathy with whats happening but as we know with yours and many other forums, Im not taking any risks with FF.
I can see this pitch invasion getting even uglier. The Football League will issue a fine that I have no doubt, probably a points deduction (maybe next season). Oyston will probably not be happy with a fine so will be looking for that money back, we all know about him suing folk left right and centre so lets see I suppose.
Most fan protests look so impotent, this will make an impact though. If he's not gone by the beginning of next season do it then as well.
Huddersfield should be awarded the three points If we have a points deduction next season so be it Thanks for all the support Very welcome and much appreciated Karl Oystons smug face and his take or leave it attitude winds many up !!!!
Where's this fit and proper person ruling for this bloke. Surely the Football League have seen enough of this man dragging the good name of Blackpool into the shit. They should act and get him out, they prevented the Leeds owner from day to day running this season because of certain issue, this man is killing Blackpool and they just sit back and do nothing.
Hope the FA enquiry regarding his texts to a fan result in his removal from the management committee He gets a heavy fine and is given a severe warning about his future conduct at the least.
The circumstances in which the FL can interfere under the directors and owners test are very limited. The only reason they have managed to prevent Cellino from running Leeds is because he has a conviction for a dishonest act. You could run a club absolutely terribly and only for your own personal profit and there's nothing the FL can do about that.
Blackpool fans will obviously know more, but this article seems to pretty clued up. http://www.theguardian.com/football...-blackpool-tangerine-nightmare-stan-mortenson
He'll be off the FL Board as he is one the Championship representatives. From memory he was also one of the League 1 representatives when we were last down there. I think they are voted on by the other Chairman. There are 3 Directors from the Championship, 2 for League 1 and 1 from League 2. There will be 2 spare slots for the Championship from next year as KO and Millwall hold 2 of the Championship positions (Middlesbrough the 3rd), there will also be a spare slot from League 1 as 1 position was from MK Dons.
Feel for the Huddersfield fans for paying to watch 46 or so minutes of football. Hope something can be done to get a refund or whatever. Yesterday was the last day I will attend Bloomfield Road as a paying customer until that vile family sell the club and it's assets. Proud of the fans who stayed on the pitch (minus the chavs who goaded the away fans) and the march from the Bloomfield pub to the west stand was well organised. Glad to see many other fans shirts there and I thank them all. So it's goodbye to the Championship. It's been fun
Fingers crossed for you that everything works out. A bit before my time, but at Wolves we had a not too dissimilar situation in the early 80s. It eventually got better for us, so there's hope for you. x
Frustrating what happened but they had to do something. The article above tells you all you need to know about what an odious set of cretins that family are As long as we get the 3 points and finish above Leeds
When we did this in 96 the match was replayed. Bloody hell I feel old.
It was a fantastic yesterday. The thing that stood out for me was that, normally, there are always some dissenters ('get off the pitch...') but there was nothing like that - everyone was for the protest and the only boos were when the PA announced the referee wanted to continue the game. When it was finally abandoned there was a huge cheer and everyone - including the Oystons - knew a huge blow had been struck. There's still a long way to go but with an FA charge outstanding for 'textgate', possibly another FA charge for failing to ensure safety etc. and an FL charge of not completing the fixture list then maybe the tide is beginning to turn. (We can't replay btw, it's summer and, being Blackpool, we only have 5 contracted playe rs). The Oystons will try to bully and bluff it out as usual but no club can exist without the fans - there's simply no legitimacy. Oh, and then Colchester do that. What a great finale to a miserable season.
