Algarve was lovely, really recommend it.

Back in miserable England now unfortunately.

A couple of weeks ago we booked cheapish flight’s to Tenerife for mid April, so just 2 weeks to go. Found an apartment in Los Cristianos, again a good price, so we can escape this wet English weather, for a week.

Enjoyed spending last week putting together a trip for our Argentine bird guide friend in mid-July.

It has now come together and combines his dream list of birds still to see in the UK with a trip to Stonehenge, all in less than a week before he sets up his stand at the Global Bird Fair in Rutland.

We start with a gentle potter around our local sites near the village - might find Turtle Dove, Stork, Crane and Hobby among others.

We then head for a night near Stonehenge, where we might also find Great Bustard and Stone Curlew.

Then its off to Pembrokeshire, including trips to Ramsey Island and Skomer Island. Must sees include seals, dolphins and maybe a Basking Shark. Top of the bird list is Puffins, Dippers and Shearwaters but we also hope to find Goshawks, Pied & Spotted Flycatchers, Wood Warblers and Grey Wagtails.

We'll probably enjoy the trip as much as him and it'll add even more birds to my 2024 list - which with our planned boat-trip around the British Isles has the chance of topping my best ever year of 2013 (183 species). 200 might just be doable.

Looking to book Majorca any day now, for July. Found a hotel that looks good, has kids clubs, slides etc so it will be good for my 4 and 1 year old. Going out of holidays to keep costs down. She turns 5 in August so last time she can be taken out of school before we get charged and my 1 year old turns 2 in October so last time we don't need to pay for a seat.

Short ish flight so we shouldn't annoy other people too much.

Going to Cabo Blanco; never heard of it. Anyone know much about there/local area?

If anyone works for Easyjet and gets a F&F discount going to waste, then I will do you a favour and use it. Started paying the holiday off today, and forgot how bloody expensive it is.
