Nice to see that we weren't forced to pay really silly money for him thanks to City's interference. Campbell will get some good Premiership experience as well.

How can this be a record when City are paying more for Robinho?

It is silly money of course (for someone I've never wanted, personally), but it could have been £35m or up thanks to City's meddling, so every cloud and all that.

Fantastic business by Spurs, Berbatov is very good player but he isn't worth 30 million. Not even close.

I suppose it depends on how much you value a one year loan fee for Campbell at, Hull might have shelled out a few quid...

:zzz Better value than Keane, and it's not like we've got other positions we need to spend the money on. Why are you paying so much attention to our signing anyway, you've got a new one of your own. I'm sure you're excited :p

We'll find out a week on Saturday ;).

Either way, we needed him to hold on to the league. It also gives us a much higher chance of winning the cups. £30m? Nothing if it brings success.

    SkySports have reported it's £30m.

Robbie Keane looks like he isn't worth £5m, never mind £18m...

At least we have still yet to see Berbatov in action for Man Utd...

Yeah of course its better value than Keane, we'll see at the end of the season hey?

Lets not forget, you were the one that said "I'm delighted Liverpool and blew all their funds on Torres, he's not what they need" or something to that effect eh?:gotcha

 big city fan today. Sold us Corluka and then put in a bid for Berbatov.. don't think United's bid would have hit £30 mill without them :D

    An utter disgrace.

    Fergie's a hypocritical bastard.

Berbatov's been tapped up and the whole football world knows it. I've become so disillusioned with football just recently. It's just gone to shit.

Perhaps you should direct your complaints toward Levy, who's willing to leave his principles at the door should you cross his palm with enough silver... :whistle

I don't understand how a player can agree terms and have a medical with his potential new club before his current club have even accepted a bid? Absolutley ridiculous!

Man United are a genuine club who spend hardly any money, have real die-hard fans who don't just like them for the glory so don't slag them off anymore you nasty people. It's Chelsea we should all slag off, they spend loads and have loads of glory supporters:funslap:funslap

Why would we agree not to follow up the complaint for less money than was offered by City?

I'd rather have Keane at 20 million than Berbatov at 30 to be honest, Keane works harder and produces more end product.
