Sure will. berbatov to outscore Keane, luckily Robbie has been kind enough not to take advantage of the five game head start he had, obviously doing his old strike partner a favour.

:zzz Wheeling out this again are we?

"...and now the real holes in their team will have to be plugged with bargain buys like Benyoun and Heinze". Do finish the quote old boy. And remind me how you did last season? No trophies, fourth place. Yeh, Torres was clearly what you needed. :hmmm

Granted I was wrong about Heinze (although good old Rafa tried his best to sign the broken sod, terrible manager that he is), but I was right overall. Believe it or not, for 23m one could expect Torres to turn out to be good; note I said nothing about his quality, his quality wasn't the issue. Yeh he was better than I, or most people, expected, but the point remains that your problem for the last couple of years has been on the flanks, and it's still on the flanks.

You needed wingers, instead you've spent £40m+ on strikers, and have nobody who can hit a decent cross into them. But I'm sure your latest bargain buy will solve that problem.

We'll see as the season goes on.

Of course Berbatov hasn't played for Man Utd yet, but from what I've seen of Keane for Liverpool, he isn't worth £5m, never mind £20m...

Because Berbatov wasn't interested in a move to City. If he was, he'd be their player by now, considering they offered more money. You can't force a player to move somewhere, and given the situation it's still better to have £31m + Campbell on loan than your most prized asset rotting in the reserves for the forseeable future.

Both parties are an utter disgrace to football.

No, but I'll make some kind of gentleman's wager. For example you can choose what I put in my sig and vice-versa. Or something like that. Anything that doesn't involve cash, too much hassle :)

What everyone is forgetting is that Keane always takes a while to get going, he didn't score till late September for Spurs last season and still scored the same amount of league goals as Berbatov.

Tbh there's nothing saying United didn't have a bid accepted.. only difference is City's became public knowledge. Doubt United would have gone through with a medical had a bid not been accepted..

Glad the ridiculous saga's finally over now :)

Nope, they both scored a similar amount of goals last season and Keane got more assists if I'm not mistaken. I think Berbatov will do well at United He'll score around 20 goals and create a few too, the same goes for Keane.

You could argue Berbatov is better than Keane marginally but he's isn't £10 million pounds better. Keane isn't a stroppy disruptive **** either.

That's why I'd rather have Keane. Neither are a patch on Fernando though. . .;)

The difference is......Berbatov walks straight into the United side.

Robbie Keane wouldn't even be considered for the starting 11. Good sub though ;).
