    Seriously, Kuyt, Agger?

I gues you're counting on Riera. Look on bluekipper - even Everton fans were "oh shit" about signing him (to be fair, I wasn't!)

(by the way, I hope you've noticed my more discursive style, rather than wind up)

Agger is being kept out by Skrtel. I'll give you Kuyt, although I can see Babel playing on the right at times this season.

After todays disastrous deadline day, I'd say Lockie has had the wind knocked out of him.

Haha, yes you were!! £30.75m for a 27-year-old I'd say is pretty silly! We f**king mugged you.

Berbatov better value than Keane? I think not, my friend.

Robbie Keane has played about 5 games for Liverpool so far for the love of Christ. I'm sure Rafa playing him out on the left wing hasn't helped a great deal either. :rolleyes

    Much better? No.
Better footballing player? Yes, but not "much" better.
    Better all-round player? Absolutely not.

Really happy to see him at United now. First game against Liverpool against an old friend. Keane hasn't scored in 5 Liverpool games; it'd be pretty funny if Berbatov scores on his first, against Keane's new team.

And I don't understand why so many people are saying he isn't that good. He has the third highest tally of goals and assists over the last two years. It's not too bad.

I see what people are on about him not being worth £30 million, but who is?
It's what you pay in the modern market & he is a quality player.

I find it funny rival fans keep harping on about him not being worth 30M and we've been ripped off etc etc

I couldn't give a toss. If we paid 30M then we can obviously afford it, so why should we worry. I'm more concerned with success on the pitch which berbatov will help us achieve, rather than having an extra 30m sitting in the piggy bank doing nothing

A bit hypocritical don't you think? Considering you've just stated "I think its unhealthy what City tried to do yesterday"

So it's ok for you to splash the cash, like you do all the time, but unhealthy if City did it?

berbatov is better than keane..thats why a better club came in for berbatov, thats why it only took 2 seasons for berbatov to get a big money move..how long did it take keane??

liverpool fans keep saying man united are buying success...they have brought 1 player,at the end of the day man united will get success..liverpool would pay anything to get the premiership..hence why they payed 20 million for keane

If you look at Keane's career, I think its safe to say he's been involved in plenty of "big money moves". I mean even at the raw age of 19 Inter saw fit to splash out £12 million on him, almost a decade ago. So please, get your facts right.

Uh-huh. Enjoy another season of mid-table mediocrity. The fact that your books balance quite nicely must be a huge consolation for not having any real on-pitch success to celebrate. :thumb

Oops. Keane went to Inter for £12m as a teenager, and has had relatively big money moves to Coventry, Leeds, Spurs and now Liverpool.

Berbatov's 30 Million pound transfer fee will prove to be a bargain if he scores the goals to win us the league without him we have no proper strikers so we had little hope of winning anything now we do though.

And being more succesful means more money the club can win.

£30m+ for a near 28 year old a bargain? Even if he does score say 20 goals, I'd still say you've paid slightly over the top. £25million at the very most I'd say he's worth, probably the £20.2 million we paid for Torres would be about right.

The price is over the top yes but the trophies he will help us win will repay that easily.

We now have a striker as opposed to not having one and we would have gone all season struggling to score more than 1 goal per game.
