In a game that sparks so much rivalry and feuding among opposing teams its a testament to the man's character that there is a widepsread cherishing of him amongst all football fans. We will miss you Sir Bobby.

R.I.P Sir Bobby. A true gentleman. He always came across as incredibly humble and never seemed to tire of telling people how fortunate he felt to have been involved in football for his entire working life.
A truly sad loss to English Football...

Very rare for me to get as emotional as i feel tonight after hearing of the the sad sad death of a true gent and wonderful ambassador for football, but this great man was everything about being English and our national game.

His face was always full of passsion and sometimes almost tearful,he will be held in the upmost respect by all of us football fans.

    Rest in peace Sir Bobby!!!!!

This is a nice touch guys that was on the radio earlier.

The presenter said, "It is really sad to hear that Sir Bobby Robson has lost his life to cancer". Another presenter chipped in and said " Actually Sir Bobby won the battle 4-1"

    That simply is fooking brilliant!!!!!!
