One thing I have noticed is the Rangers midfield is non existent when Killie attack and the full backs are badly exposed.

Been an even game so far, although listening to the commentary you wouldn't think so.

Morelos hat-trick, that should seal it but hard luck Killie, Boyd n All, I thought the ex Gers man would score against his old club.

Not sure the score reflected the game overall but a good result for them.

Aye, I dont blame Barisic for OG as always hard to defend those crosses when wingers is behind you= Gers scored all 4 goals. More a 4-3-3 or had some played out of position?

Kyle Lafferty: Rangers recruit Hearts striker for second Ibrox spell

Kyle Lafferty has returned to Rangers after Hearts accepted an improved offer for the Northern Ireland striker.

The 30-year-old, who spent four years at Ibrox from 2008 to 2012, has signed a two-year deal at Ibrox.

Rangers had a bid of £200,000 rejected in July for the forward, who scored 20 goals after joining Hearts last summer.

"When a player has his mind fully set on moving, it is difficult to reach an alternative conclusion," said Hearts owner Ann Budge.

"It is no secret that this has been a particularly difficult and drawn-out affair. But the deal will suit all parties."

Lafferty could make his debut in Thursday's Europa League qualifier against FC Ufa at Ibrox, with clubs permitted to register two 'wildcard' signings the day before a Uefa competition fixture.

Speaking before the deal was announced, Rangers manager Steven Gerrard said if it was completed in time "of course he will be available and involved"

Another thug to help them cheat their way to fouls etc in and around the box. He doesn't even need to go on the in house diving course that Gerrard has running.

The last point is an important one.

Guys like Lafferty and Morelos, the midfield and guys at the back such as Flanagan are all particular types of players with ‘determined’ styles of play.

Gerrard is building a team that won’t be easily out muscled or out fought. My concern for us is that if we don’t outplay them then there is a more than decent chance they will win the battles.

If you watch them this season you will see I'm right. It was evident at the weekend against Kilmarnock. Morelos hit the deck every time he felt breath on him and when he was replaced by Sadiq (I think thats his name), he did the exact same. It is coaching instructions and it would be naive in the extreme to think otherwise. Lafferty will be the same but he will add an extra type of thuggery by flying in with late tackles and elbows. If the games are refereed properly they won't get away with it.

It's that style of play which is keeping Scottish football in the dark ages. We have been subjected to some blatant thuggery the last couple of years (not from Rangers btw) which has and will see us pick up a lot of injuries. Hearts and Motherwell in particular are bad for this and it should be stamped out. We should not be doubting our players because they are subjected to this. In any other country both Lafferty and Naismith would have walked the other week but we seem to let it go and then even if the refs do get it right, they get overturned by a panel of idiots. I'm not saying we are the only ones on the receiving end but we get most of them. I don't mind that other teams have other styles of play but I do when it's clear that they go out to foul and hurt our players which is happening more frequently the last couple of years.

Only in Scotland could this type of 'battle' be won.

This is football and there are rules to the game, it has been shown in Scotland this season many times that these rules do not apply at certain times.

I’m not even talking about fouls or unfair play here.

We have spoken in the past about how important Scott Brown is for us due to his style of play and his aggression and fight for the team. When he isn’t there it’s hugely noticeable.

Rangers now have a few guys like of this ilk and the other guys (aside from Brown) in our team will need to fight for the right to win the game.

We won’t be allowed to stroll about the way we have done in the past and we should be prepared to stand up to this different challenge.

We will find out in a few weeks if our guys are up for the fight.

That is a genuine part of football but when it becomes more than that then the actual footballing battle is irrelevant.

Yes they have filled the team with a lot of battlers, I think if the officials don't allow that to go beyond the laws of the game then we are more than equipped to deal with that.

Lets see the scrutiny Gerrards defence is put under after that today, Motherwell should have scored five or six.

Goldson has been getting plenty of plaudits, but I think he can be got at more than his younger partner Katic.

Motherwell caused them a lot of problems today and we should cause them a few as well if our guys are on form.

I'm guessing thats humour. He has revolutionised Scottish football dontcha know.

I've only looked at the BBC where it tells us that Motherwell snatch a last minute goal to deny the mighty teddies whereas outcast Boyata saves struggling Celtic. Doesn't matter a jot that we dominated the match from start to finish while they were lucky to get a point of course cos writing the actual truth meant zilch to those paid for morons.
