The thing about this Rangers side I notice is they don't really play through the midfield who have been missing the last two league games, it's a very direct game with constant balls whipped into the box at every opportunity.

They came up against a side today that didn't shrink under the direct physical game and for me where shown up for just the level of team they are.

Any game I've watched they could have been beaten in that game, they have carried a lot of luck and did again today, that will run out.

It was good to see another team bar us not show them any undue respect today. Fair play to their manager for that. Motherwell should have won that game and although it's early days, it looks like if a team go after them they'll get a lot of joy. Next week their tactic will be to try kick us off the park. I hope they come into the game thinking that they can play the way they have been cos if they do, I can see us taking a right few off them. I can't see them doing that though. Even as a rookie I doubt Gerrard will be stupid enough to think they can go toe to toe with us.

It's all ifs and buts but next week could see them go 7 points off the top and 4 behind us. If that happens it will be interesting to see how they and their press puppets react. To be fair to them though, they've had a tricky start of fixtures.

For all the over the top plaudits they receive if we beat them next week they won't even be in the top 5 after 4 games.

It's a big big game for them and they will be under a lot more pressure than us imo as a defeat will show after draws to Aberdeen and Motherwell and a had fought win over Killie they might not be a lot better than last season.

Time will tell but I am confident we will do the job.

I think we'll win as well but my biggest concern is that we are not in a confident frame of mind yet. A decent win on Thursday should help us a bit but even if we're not at our best, we're still a far better team than them.

Sort the defence and we'll beat them, if we go back to the schoolboy defending every team we play will be in with a chance.

Well, hats off to Gerrard for the Europa match and getting through...:duke

    FT: Ufa 1-1 Rangers (1-2)

It's the first time Rangers have reached the group stage of a European competition since the 2010-11 Champions League.

Not a bad start for Steven Gerrard, who is now unbeaten in his first 12 games as manager"

Well played to them for getting through although hopefully Scottish refs will take note of how to actually ref their games. They really need to stop the thuggish tactics which have been evident in every game they've played. I wonder if they'll try and appeal those cards as well though I doubt it.

Morelos was deserved, Flanagans was never a red though.

I wouldn't bother, especially Morelos, the bloody stupid moody little twat, time on the sidelines for him and getting his act together or ship him off somewhere.

From where they were that is a good achievement from Gerrard and Rangers.

He is building something good and it as ive been saying for a while, we need to be very aware of the threat to us domestically.

From our dealings in the transfer window I think we are leaving the door wide open for them to have a right good go at overtaking us.

Sunday is massive in terms of assessing where the law of the land lies.

They're in the Europa league group stages, just like Celtic.

They've only lost 1 game this season, unlike Celtic who have lost 2.

Rangers worst league start in 29 years if you count the old side.

Doesn't tell the full story though does it? Two last second equalisers and Celtic away in those first four games? Judge him after 10 games, it's very early into the project? BR lost to Lincoln Red Imps early into his tenure?

Gerrard is doing well. Qualified for the group stage of the Europa League for the first time in years which has hampered their early league form imo. Could easily have nicked a point today if Tavenier wasn’t shit.

Well Gerrard didn't have to pick him, and he didn't have to make him their captain either.
