Karius looks to be off on another loan. I can't see any more incomings going into the last week, and Edwards and co will be trying to find loans and buyers for the likes of Grujic, Wilson, Shaqiri, possibly Origi and Brewster (on top of some of the kids from the unders who might be surplus to requirements). I also wonder if Elliott will be loaned out to give him games.

Elliott will stay. He's only 17, Klopp seems to really rate him and on all the evidence we have he doesn't send players out on loan who he really rates, he'd rather work with them. Origi's the only player who's been out on loan under Klopp who has come back into even a squad role.

And I was very much wrong! Looks like he's off to Blackburn. Hope he's one like Origi who can break the Klopp loan curse...

Is interesting they see him as ready for regular first team football at 17 though, would bode well for him.

Harry Wilson off to Cardiff for a £1.2m loan fee & all his wages paid. Herbie Kane's gone to Barnsley.

Mate I think Harvey Elliott could step into a prem team tbh he's that talented. Reckon he'll smash it in the championship.

Elliott does need the games, but I hope this isn't the beginning of the end for him like it was Brewster and co.

Nah he's definitely hugely talented, I'm mainly surprised they're happy to get a loan for him at 17. Must be planning on him being a first teamer soon to want regular game time for him at that age with the way we usually treat loans. If Shaq had gone I imagine he'd be staying and in the rotation.

  7. It's a big move for Elliott. We've seen many a lad go out and get smashed so he's got to show he can cope here and create a real buzz.

Thus far he's just not quite delivered the final ball or final touch for us so this is what he needs. Playing bench warmer and u23 is pointless.

Wilson needs a big year or he will be permanently championship level. Covid hurt badly there.

Kane getting a good loan there too.

Klopp has said yesterday that a centre back would 100% help, but reiterated that he doesn't make the financial decision on signings. It may change in the next week, but it's clear with the way the summer transfers were structured that the pandemic has impacted even more on FSG's willingness to open the purse strings. Hopefully tomorrow and swing the confidence.

  9. I think its clear that if we could just get 11 fit players in their right positions we could be far better off.

I agree that we bought a little bit on the never never last summer.

If they would or are in a position to open the FSG purse and give us an interest free loan or something it would be possible imo to get schurrs out of ajax.

IF we coudl play matip and a new signing at the back and get fabinho into no 6 position then imo we can get back on track.

Probably get pelters for this but I hope we keep Origi till the summer at least..been a bit of talk about him leaving on loan but with no replacement it would be incredibly pointless given he was good against Burnley and lively last night may aswell keep him as a squad option.

Good against Burnley? No one was good. He needs to be sold, not loaned out. He’s not good enough.

He was our best player against Burnley.

No they weren't. He had a good game was linking up well causing problems and shooting. Easy to let the result blind individual performances though.

They were. It was a joke of a performance. Causing problems? What to my eyes with his shitness. Prior to last night we’d had 4 dire team performances and arguing who was least shit of the bunch seems silly.

He has given us a few important goals and memories so I’ll be fond of him for that reason but genuinely think we should be affording others the game time.

Not giving credit to individuals is equally silly imo but each to their own.

I myself think he should leave but not unless we get a suitable offer and we have adequate cover to replace him in the squad.

  17. Right now we need 11 fit players and go form there.

Alisson - doing ok for us :) still his kicking has been slightly inconsistent due to missing games etc so his awesomeness can only increase
TAA - don't think he's fit myself. can only play his way in but he must get cover.
Robertson - fully fit and flying
Matip - wish he would stay fit.
NEW CB - this is just needed. no arguments here
Fabinho at not 6 - will help so much
Thiago - no fit but can give 60mins. Rotate with wijnaldum
Henderson - needs to stay fit. 2 injuries now. give jones a couple run outs.
Mane - needs to step up
Firmino - needs to either give 60mins like his second half v utd or go off after 60 for minamino
Salah - just keep playing and licking him all over with praise to stroke that massive ego ;)

I am convinced (or deluding myself) that all will be well if we just get a CB.

I am going back to rock in a corner til the transfer window closes now.

whats a suitable offer? I can’t see us getting much. And we do have replacements already in the squad so that’s not needed. I mean he should’ve been sold when we got Jota.

Anything above 10m I'd take so he can go and play regular. I just wouldn't loan him out it's pointless I'd rather have him as a squad option.

  20. LFC forwards:

Mane, firmino salah. Jota. then there shaqiri (can't stay fit and was going), origi and minimino but not much else coming up below them. Our youths are seriously weak.

having 4 for 3 slots is great, I just wish we had a couple of forwards as kids coming through to get time here and there. Elliott might be that next year i suppose.
