If we got £20m for Solanke surely we can get similar for him. And yeah I’d not be in favour of a loan deal either. We’d have enough without Origi imo. And yeah maybe Elliott will come good next year.
With coivd impact I think we will be lukcy to see a return out of origi, grujic and shaqiri. All were "cheap" and "no loss" buys and 2 of them have contributed to great memories but no way we get 50mil out of those now. I have to agree, 10mil will be the ceiling for origi.
Tbh I don’t know how long they’ve got left on contracts as that’s a factor but we seem to get good prices for players like Solanke and Brewster but they are English I guess. I think we should try sell one of Ox or Keita.
contracts is another element for sure. We got great fees for solanke, crazy fee really for the player but he's done alright this season. 10 goals so far. Brewster was just panic by sheff utd. I guess he should give us hope someone might try. Origi's contract is out to 2024. We can certainly wait and he is only 25. shaqiri is 2023 so again we are not desperate to sell so much as he wanted to go. Ox is a hard case, both him and keita are 2023 so all are very much in our power but we need a buyer too .
With Origi surely the move will come from abroad? Regarding Ox and Keita, we can’t afford to carry two injury prone midfielders in the squad especially with Gini looking likely to go and Milners age etc. I doubt we will recoup what we paid for them but we have to try selling one at least.
I'd prefer to sell Ox over Keita. Yes Naby is injury prone, but if they can manage his fitness and nurse him back properly rather than rushing him back into the team as soon as he's clear of injury, they may manage to keep him injury free, it's all about managing him. I personally think he has offered more to the team when he's played than what Ox has when he has played. You can see the talent in Keita and how he drives us forward with his movement, passing and clever dinks, that's what we need to make this team click, but it comes down to managing him rather than pushing him beyond his bodies capabilities.
unexpected. We need to let half these young lads go. We've so many names in there now. The young Brazilian lad as well.
Why would we need to let them go? if there good enough they could end up playing for the first team and if not we can sell them on, it's called a business model ,don't you think other clubs do exactly the same and why on earth are you worried about how many players we sign ,are you paying there wages? calm down and support your club and let the owners worry about everything else
Liverpool have completed their latest signing in Derby’s 16-year-old forward Kaide Gordon, with the deal reported to be worth up to £3 million. Liverpool complete signing of 16-year-old Kaide Gordon
Nice. We look to be building a collection of real classy youth players to come through. Hope they all fulfil their promise.
Rumours doing the rounds that Barca are interested in bringing Thiago back. Obviously, it's just that, rumours.
They apparently want him on loan GTF no chance of that. I can see him returning there though in truth now Xavi is managing the club, maybe in the summer.
They don't have the money to spend tbf, i don't think we won't accept any less than I'd say 10 million. Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
