    Jason Puncheon linked with Newcastle as saints still havent offered the highly talented winger a new contract yet. Saints are waiting to secure there premiership status before offering him any new deal.

    So basically he could sign a pre contract with you guys now. Alan Pardew rates him highly as he brought him to saints from MK Dons 3 years ago.

    Will be gutted if he goes been nothing short of magnificent for us this season.

    You will see on sunday when we play you what a good winger he is. He is also linked with westham.

    Really hope he plays bad on sunday to put pardew off! :p

    He is a good player and one I would welcome at Newcastle.

    Llalana (sp) has been linked with us as well ever since Pardew took over.

    I really can't think of many players Pardew has recycled from his old clubs. I know our players always get linked with ex managers (and arsenal) but it just seems exceptionally lazy journalism to me.

    He signed Punch and Lambert as players who he felt could step up two divisions, but in the position he's in now he'd want to sign players with potential to step up from where he is now.

    Well Punch has just signed a new 3 year deal with us, so that puts that one to bed!

    I wouldn't call Danny Simpson our worst defender - he'll be missed from the squad unless we buy a decent replacement. So if we do as we did last summer, we'll be worse off in defence for the new season - but will have less games to play.

    I wouldn't be surprised if another loan or two come in. That bodes better for profits. Joe Kinnear says we can judge him on his signings, so as of now we are totally unable to judge him.
