    Ted S1

Somehow made it to 4 episodes before deciding to delete it.. I count Ted 1 & 2 in some of my favourite movies but the show is just not worth it. Its like a PG rated show with a few R rated jokes thrown in. The kid who plays John is a natural. The girl who plays the cousin is Shea Wigham's daughter but she is not a good actor. Scott Grimes from Band of Brothers just doesn't have enough air time. I liked the mother's character but again she has very little air time. There are not enough jokes to make it watchable. Quite tedious to watch. You would expect better from Seth Mcfarlane.

Finally got round to watching Ted Lasso after hearing such good things.

Really wasn’t sure what to make of it at the start. I’d been told that I must watch it and I think the majority of S1 it’s finding it’s feet and getting to know the characters.

By the end of S3 though I absolutely loved it. Just a good, funny and heartwarming programme.

    Inventing Anna -

Fun watch. I’d never even heard of this or remember seeing the story in the news but it’s quite amazing that she managed to convince so many people she was legit. Still question marks over whether her dad had any ties to criminals and if he had any money or if it really was all just made up by her

Over six hours of my life wasted on utter drivel, stuck with it as I felt it must be going somewhere, but it wasn't.

Rated at 5.4/10 on IMDB, which I reckon flatters it.

    House of ninjas- Netflix

Drama about a family of retired shinobi (and the last descendants of hattori hanzo), who are forced back in to action when their rivals and enemies, the fuma clan, re-emerge and threaten modern day Japan

interesting plot, good acting and fight scenes, funny in parts, and it has ninjas in it doing ninja shit!

Honestly, not really. Family Guy has been stale since 2010.

    Travelers - 7.5/10

Felt it would've benefitted being only 2 seasons and not 3. Predictable ending but quite enjoyable throughout.

    got round to watching this.

it annoyed me too much even though i sat through all 8 episodes. why did she drive like a loon everywhere? why couldnt she park her car properly? why was Joanna Lumleys character talking in rhymes all the time? how did the person in the car not notice a bloody helicopter following them about 100ft off the ground?!

nice twist at the end I agree and generally tied up loose ends. Felt the half brother storyline was a bit pointless, didnt really add any intrigue. Also her army mate stalking her came to nothing.

These were red herrings thrown in to confuse us as to who the perpetrator was?

I get Shane stalking her as a red herring. The half brother story wasn't really a mislead, as welas the ex who happened to live in the same town

just started the halo series on paramount. i'm only two episodes in, but it's been engaging so far. fans of the games should like what they've done with the covenant, as they behave very much like their game counterparts. i couldn't help but smile as one of the elites did the little dodge move they do so frequently in the games. details like that, along with various sound effects and whatnot taken straight from the games, make a big difference.

    Masters of the Air

Its definitely not even in the same league as Band of Brothers but not very far off from The Pacific. It starts off bang average but improves with every episode. Some strange casting choices that ruined it for me tbh. They could have cast some two-bit actor and even that would have been a better choice than Austin Butler. He must have the most punchable smug face in Hollywood atm. Every time he would show up on screen I just wanted to punch him so bad. I read somewhere that Tom Hanks called in a favour and that is how smug face got the role. The show improves significantly after smug face's screen time goes down. Another terrible casting was the guy who plays Crosby. Other than these two clowns it was quite well cast. Callum Turner sort of looks like the actual Major Egan. Nate Mann was a good casting as Major Rosie Rosenthal. Some of the aerial dogfights are shot very well. All in all I quite enjoyed it tbh.

The Gentlemen: Bit silly but when you prepare yourself for Lock stock etc type dialogue and shenanigans, it's really enjoyable.

It's way off even The Pacific for me. Hard to tell who is who during the action with the hats etc on, and hard to get invested the characters with such a high death rate, lack of screen time for most characters, and boring personalities. There was one good episode where there was a shitload of BRUTAL action, am sure you can guess the episode, still struggled with who was who in that one though! Disappointing.

Just working my way through the first four seasons of Love/Hate, which is also based in Dublin and also tells the story of the drug world, only not as subtle as Kin and nowhere near as good. The writing is very male orientated, to the extent where women are only there to be used and abused, not one strong female part in the show so far, and that is boring as ****.

Iron Reign - 7.5/10 - Decent enough Spanish Gomorrah'esque crime mini series, starts off slowish but improves with each episode, ended up binging the last 6 episodes in one night. Currently on Netflix.
