am really looking forward to this - I think the first series went under the radar a lot but I would put it on a par with the earlier Line of Duty series.

I wasnt even aware that a 2nd series was on the cards until i saw the trailer a couple of weeks ago as the first series definitely had an ending as such.

I do find it quite poignant that most of the time, famous actors who sadly pass seem to get a good posthumous send off with their final piece of work, and I am glad it sounds that way in this for Bernard.

“Dark Matter” on Apple TV has caught my eye but I’m the kind of man that likes other people to guinea pig shows for me before I waste my own time. Really like Joel Edgerton too.

    I shall patiently await reviews.

    Silo [2023]

Similar premise to Fallout in that humanity lives in a huge underground community (the silo) and everyone is afraid of what's outside. The twist with this is that conspiracy theories are rife, and the authorities have banned all 'relics' of the pre-silo times and the punishment for breaking the laws could be being sent outside to die.

Superb performance from Rebecca Ferguson as the lead character, and Chinaza Uche who plays her pedantic assistant. Not so impressed with some bloke apparently called Common who I've never heard of, delivers all his lines in the same monotone and can't really act, which is especially jarring alongside a walking acting masterclass like Tim Robbins.

I really enjoyed this, bit puzzled by the remarkable ending, but there's a new series already recorded so fingers crossed it'll be on soonish.

Blue Lights series 2: N. Irish cop show. 1st series was better but this was still good. Next 2 series already greenlit by the BBC!

Scavengers Reign is moving to Netflix, if it does good numbers they're gonna do a season 2. Doubt it will which is a shame, but there's a chance.

i loved scavengers reign. Thanks to you and zydus for talking about it on here, it’s how I found out about the show and eventually watched it. The first few episodes especially are wondrous and terrifying in equal measure

I think it may do well on Netflix. There’s already a lot of high quality adult animation on there so there’s definitely the audience for it

I love this show but my only problem with it is Kaleb who is full of shit saying he has never left the village then why did he go on a nationwide tour for q and a sessions including Bath which is 20 miles from me. 9/10.

Regarding the Scavenger's Reign story, I hope it receives the same backing as Love Death & Robots from Netflix.

In fact I hope the LD&R fans discover Scavenger's Reign, as they are most likely to love it.

Classic. This show was my childhood favourite, used to get such thrills when that riff kicked in, in the intro. Harper, Hagman etc, Liz Hurley's cleavage lol.

An American podcaster, his junior assistant and an investigative journalist who's been told by her editor to keep her head down and take some time off, head to a small town in Ireland where there's a mystery to solve as people have been disappearing over the years. Yeah, I think I've got that right. If you're a fan of Only Murder In The Building then this is probably for you if you can get past the first hour of seven, if you're like me, and you're not, then those six hours that follow are pretty ordinary. There were so many characters to try and remember that I ended up not caring who killed who or what the hell was going on. The scenery though, if you haven't yet been to the west of Cork, will make you want to go onto Ryanair's website and have a weekend there. Beautiful..

Daft from beginning to end, I guessed the location of the 'thing' that everyone was looking for in episode 2. Watchable but not really worth going out of your way for.

    Shardlake

Just watched the four episodes of the first installment ,absolutely loved it ,this will be one of those series that will pick up many avid fans the more the episodes elapse. It's writers have been as faithful to the books as possible and Arthur Hughes who plays Cromwell's veritable sword of Damocles is just flawless in his portrayal of Matthew Shardlake.

thx for the recommendation, Red. Just looked it up at my favourite stream service ;) and yeah, it's already available here in Germany :disco

When I saw the above clip and one of my british faves in it, Sean Bean, this is a must watch for me.

btw: Of course, Sean has to play Thomas Cromwell  If I remember his fate this will be another death for Sean Bean in a series sometimes. Poor guy, always had to die

    The Dry.

Irish comedy drama starring, amongst others, Ciaran Hinds, who seems to be in everything these days. Thirty something Shiv Sheridan comes back to Dublin after years in London and tries to get her life back together, which includes giving up the drink and signing up at the AA. Also stars Pom Boyd who has a hair style like she's just swallowed a firework. Passable

I’ve never seen this hugely hyped in the UK as the central figure, Robert Durst, was probably a more prominent figure in America but Jesus I’d recommend anybody watches this!

Watched season 1 last week and season 2 is currently being released on sky documentaries. 4 out of 6 episodes are out so far and it’s a wild ride

All about Robert Durst, member of the Durst organization who were/are huge real estate tycoons in New York, who became embroiled in 3 murder investigations

Infuriating how his family clearly hate him, but wouldn’t cooperate with the police because they’re trying to play the game of minimizing bad PR for their wealthy organization

The last episode of S1 and first of S2 are incredible
